" essentially in this article the alleged " faithful slave " is telling witnesses that to be approved to survive armageddon- they will have to recognize the " faithful & discreet slave's " authority in their lives.. notice these direct quotes from pg.

4 , " jesus christ is the assigned leader of the congregation.

Many have commented they are tightening their grip. This reminds me of what I've read about Judge Boozerford. I wonder when they'll get their own 'Beth Sarim'?

Someone commented that even the humdrum maladies sound like communist anthems.

I wonder if something is about to burst under all this pressure?

i've seen a few threads/posts where some of y'all have heard from jw contacts and how they've stepped up their 'the end is close' rhetoric because of the earthquake/tsunami in japan.

i usually take those things with a grain of salt.

there's always some jw whose cheese has slipped that reads prophecy into every little thing that happens.

@MRFALCON = there are many other religious groups who are attributting these "signs" to doomsday prophecy too.

Being a bit of a saddo, this is why I don't poo poo it all totally. I am convinced that nothing will occur JW style but I watch with interest without reading too much into earthquakes and such. I might miss being 'ruptured' in heaven!!!

Mrs Punk was trying to revive me to go back to meetings with : 'I was talking to a Muslim who says THEY believe it's a sign of the end!'

My reply : 'We better join the Muslims quick then!'

For non-believers: What evidence would it take for you to believe in 'god'?

it all comes down to evidence (but funny how we tend not to accept the evidence that indicates that what be actually believe to be true might be wrong).. this is a statement made by nick in previous thread of his.. >>>>>>>>>>.

if the ot 'god' reappeared today, would that be evidence of 'god'?.

I think you guys may be missing my point, God and Jesus are quite evident and present, inother words, there is no disbelief in their existence and yet, some still rebel.

I'm not really an 'unbeliever' but after 50 years of 'mind cleansing' from a false religion I'm having to start my search again.

I currently attend a Baptist Church. However, I am seeking proof of it all. This isn't rebellion on my part. I'm trying to heal after the WTB$ has screwed with my head.

Proof beyond 'faith' alone would be nice right now. Where will I find this proof? That's a sincere question!

there clearly must be a problem in this area in regards to nations that appear to have far stronger family units not adhering to the previous warnings, the wt article definitely has a barf alert comparing jeehobah's feelings when the angels rebelled in heaven!

I was approached by a muslim who was 'witnessing' in Liecester. I said I wasn't sure what path to take as I do not know what I believe anymore.

He got quite angry and aggressive and spat out this question: 'Do you expect god to write your name in the sky and say this is the way follow me?'

Me: 'Actually, that'll do it for me!'

End of conversation.

At least I know 2 things now

1. JW's are not the 'Truth'

2. Islam isn't either!
