If all the WT lies were to get posted this string would surpass the "Cedars hate" string.

What is Your Favorite WT Lie?
by Sea Breeze ini would like to start a thread on lies that the watchtower and their reps have told.
surely we all have one or two that truly sticks out in our memories, no matter how much we would like to forget.
my favorite wt lie: the reason they don't want to release the name of the "scholars" who worked on the new world translation is because they do not want to accept "glory and honor" from others.

Prepare to get Pelted by Symbolic Hailstones
by raymond frantz inhttps://youtu.be/idhmflud3p4?si=9xc4svrhxslduwvz.
so david schafer a member of the teaching commitee and a helper to the governing body has come out yesterday with a new video that goes through the king of the north, the hailstones message and other things in the wake of the possibility of a ww3 and especially now that tensions are escalating with russia so he is making quite a few end time arguments and i will be expanding on those one by one but today let's see what he has about the hailstones message of the end(video) so this is the paragraph in question, paragraph 14 from article 20 of the watchtower 2020 study edition: "sometime after the start of the great tribulation, “the kings of the entire inhabited earth” will form a coalition of nations.

The Watchtower's interpretation suggests these hailstones are symbolic of Jehovah’s Witnesses delivering a bold judgment message that could provoke global opposition. . . . The notion that Jehovah’s Witnesses, known for their passive ministry, could deliver such a provocative message seems implausible, raising questions about the alignment of this interpretation with scripture and reality.
It is SO obvious when even AI realizes JWs are an "implausible" f*cking joke.

What would it like to see
by JohnR1975 inwhat i would like to see and maybe will get there in about another ten years is being a jw is a rewarding thing that enriches your life.. just like other religions out there you may not know the entire truth and maybe not quite right many of the beliefs but to have to idea of a belief centres and stabilises you.. i would like jws to be able to celebrate birthdays and maybe even other holidays if they choose to and not be judged by those who choose not to.. i would like jws to be allowed to have different interpretations of scripture and everyone is happy to agree to disagree and be able to say to each other yes maybe that interpretation is nearer the truth.
we just don’t know.. i would like new members of the gb to issue an apology for previous members getting so many things wrong.. they need to come out and say they were wrong about 1914 this date has no scriptural significance and the same is true of 1919. jws were not chosen in 1919 as the one and only true religion.. we just don’t know about so many things and it takes humility to admit we were wrong.. i would like to see even more lightening up on stupid restrictions like young people being allowed to have a varied friends and activities that are not with jws only..

DITTO to what JohnR1975 said.
I think the majority of JWs would still claim it is The Truth™ and that they are true believers and The End™ of this wicked system will be "very, very soon" (though they are just reciting the KoolAid spin), but in reality they do not live their life like they really believe all of this.
Instead, if you pin them down and challenge them on it they will mutter something like, "you have to live your life like Armageddon could come tomorrow, BUT you have to PLAN your life like it will never come in your lifetime". Yeah, right. Can you say "LACK OF FAITH"? Of course, they will grab onto any and everything in the news (Covid, Ukraine/Russia, Middle-East, etc) and point to it and HOPE IT IS the turning point, just like they did 9/11 and every other disaster.
I think the vast majority of JWs are "Social JWs". It's their "religion" but not really their "belief", since primarily most DO NOT KNOW the real JW doctrines anymore beyond "JW(dot)org".

However, he, an elder of 40+ years, says that the organization considers someone apostate if they’re an opposer, not just someone that no longer believes.
If that's an "official" adjustment, that is pretty significant. Sounds like it could just be HIS spin on it all. I think there are lots of JWs, including many elders like him, who are far more liberal in their thinking than are the GB/Leaders.

Trump wins
by gavindlt ini am non political and have never voted but nonetheless i have been keenly watching to see how the trump presidential race unfolds.
i believe that his involvement in propelling or influencing a leaning toward bible prophecy will unfold.
how, i can’t say but something tells me that this anomaly and outlier being trump is highly signifiant!

And the left would have us all believe these illegals/migrants streaming in are all here to pick produce or work in construction jobs! - Long Hair Gal
Exactly!
If they had jobs and were supporting themselves &/or their families, they shouldn't be needing housing vouchers, visa cards (NYC), food stamps, Medicaid, free cell phones, etc. Yes, they are here to secure a "better life" but the fact is, they do that by sponging off of our welfare system. We already have plenty of US citizens that do that and government has been unable to figure out how to get those folks off of their ass and go to work.

Vidiot: I know of no reversal on that policy. But admittedly I gave up the elder title 20+ years ago so have not been privy to the "secret files" ie, CO verbal instructions to write notes in your Elders' Book.
I'd like to see what evidence you have for your statement, but I'm confident even WT would not be so stupid as to put anything like that into written instructions/policy.
In my experience before our total fade, WT was taking any kind of sexual abuse VERY seriously. Anything remotely questionable (like teens passing/texting explicit photos to one another) required consultation with WT Legal. And regardless what anyone thinks, dumbass horny teenagers will do dumb shit like this. It's hormones folks.

The idea that we are going to kick out 10 million people working the worst jobs in the country is kind of silly.
How is it that they are working? Isn't it illegal to hire illegal aliens?
How about if we kick out 10 million (likely closer to double that) criminals (entering illegally is a CRIME) and allow some back via legal immigration measures after we do things like "vet" them to know they are the kind of people we WANT here?
If we allow anyone to remain in the US that entered illegally, then they should be permanently banned from ever being granted citizenship (who wants criminals as citizens?) and they should not be eligible for any government assistance benefits (as this reduces what is available for citizens and legal non-citizen residents. Not to mention it comes from the taxes paid by working US citizens.)
