Well, I will tell you that the JWs have the proper understanding of the Bible whereas every other religion and denomination does not.
The JWs have not been correct about one freaking thing that is backed up by real evidence.
many who have become disillusioned by some particular recent wt offence, separate from the church physically but retain the indoctrination the wt installed in their brains.
a familiar trope is often used,.
"don't throw the baby out with the bathwater!".

even tho i've been expelled about 4 years now, i truly checked out around 2015. changes in the org i think we're just starting to get going.
i remember the kingdom songs suddenly getting the taylor swift treatment aka pop music treatment.
meetings were getting axed or meshed together or something.
So what happens if you decide you want to stay on zoom? Is this grounds for "getting in trouble"?
First let me make clear that I haven't stepped in a Hall in years. This is all what I'm hearing from JW friends/family -- many who are PIMO.
Evidently CO's are raising hell with the Elders & MS in their "private" meetings during the CO visit although it's just been mentioned to the R&F via encouraging talks and announcements.
Years ago signing in to the meetings by phone was reserved for the elderly, infirm, and housebound. Zoom meetings during covid opened the Pandora's box. Lazy ass JW's that don't want to get dressed up prefer Zoom. PIMO JW's that just want to "sign in" and mute it all prefer Zoom. It's going to be difficult to get those groups back in full Cult Meeting Mode.
just thinking about how the wt has evolved over the century of its existence.
before the gb tricked knorr into making them the ones responsible for everything, the president at the time was very much the face of the society.
after franz, it all became a bit nebulous as to who was in charge.. is the current situation more advantageous to the wt or less?.
I think WT (aka the GB) currently has lots of faces, and in most cases it has been disadvantageous for them because the R&F can see that they are "just human". The "curtain" has been ripped back and what can be seen is not as impressive as what earlier JW's envisioned things to be.
been in for 20 plus years but decided to get out with my son.
can’t do this anymore.
never seen such hypocrisy and clickyness anywhere else.
Been in for 20 plus years but decided to get out . . .
Congrats!
I wish I could say the same, but evidently™ I am a slow learner as it took me over 50 years to awaken to TTATT.
it feels like the change in reporting of hours becomes a fundamentally bigger deal every day.
the weight and importance placed on quantity was enormous, and now it's just gone.
even tho most witnesses really didn't keep "accurate" records so to speak hehehe.... this could very well be a precursor to even bigger doctrinal changes, like 1914. damn, would would happen then?.
There is no way to explain away the 1914 doctrine 77 week prophecy from 607, other than to admit they got it wrong.
So, their solution has been to NOT address it. Just like they have never addressed the "fact" that the "creative days" were supposedly 7,000 years each. Science has clearly disproved that crap, so it is simply has never mentioned anywhere in the publications for many years.
In the same way, they will skip any mention of the erroneous 607-to-1914 calculations (that no one could ever remember anyway) and simply point to HOW TERRIBLE everything is and quote 2 Timothy chap 3 and the "signs" of the Last Days. Noah's time of warning about the coming Flood was 120 years, so they can still casually refer to 1914 for another 10 years. That gives the old guys time to die and not have to deal with a "fix" and it gives the young guys 10 years to pray that "some kind or any kind of" Tribulation hits (like Covid-29) and they can play that up. Or maybe even Armageddon will FINALLY come and bail them out.

In the past few years things have been quite boring in JW Land, with the exception of Tony Morris 3 getting "the boot" (with no kind of official explanation), and the recent adjustments mentioned in the latest Annual Meeting (and only some of them being officially posted on JW-dot-bOrg). The "biggie" made public is no more Field Service report for hours, placements, etc. ONLY a report of whether a publisher is "active" in the past month. (ANY "witnessing" counts.) Other big changers have not made it to the public website yet (so only now known by those in attendance at the AM or by those reading apostate sites).
By boring, I mean no more "tight pants/bright socks" condemnation talks. No more "burnt hot dogs" comparison to those dying at Armageddon. No more "mentally diseased" references to apostates. No more "small brained" women talks. I think they got so much flack over such things that the lawyers warned them to tone it down!
The biggest news is the direction to go back to the Hall for meetings (vs Zooming) but only 50% are showing up in person. Of course there have been a lot of Halls sold off in the past 5-10 years (and the Society pockets the money). AND, there are all the CSA (Child Sexual Abuse) lawsuits, investigations, etc all over the world. WTS looks at least as bad as the Catholic Church did when scrutinized.
As far as you having been expelled -- WT is taking a "softer" stance publicly in print or in court testimony on DF/DA persons, but in reality taking a stronger/more dogmatic stance "in secret" via public talks and "private" instruction to elders. (Of course thanks to all the LEAKS from hidden PIMOs, NOTHING IS SECRET!) Die hard JWs are taking the hardline while many others are bending the rules as they please and NOT shunning their kids/grandkids even if it means doing it secretly so stay off the radar of the elders.

i have a question about this article.. https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/jw-education-school/.
higher education can lead to moral and spiritual dangers.
a bible proverb says: "the shrewd one sees the danger and conceals himself.
i understand he intimated that the faithful slave was not the only spokesman for jehovah god.
he also intimated that corporal punishment was not advocated by the wts.
we're these lies or deception or did they represent the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?.
This is a nothing burger.
During that same time period, school principals/teachers also used corporal punishment (paddling) as did most parents. Things change over time. (Enlightenment?) WT cannot be singled out on the issue. WT has changed their position as has all or most of society.
'man guilty of abuse — after silence from church members.
a jehovah’s witness has been found guilty of sexually abusing a teen over a number of years – after the silence of church members who refused to give evidence.'.

Since when do you need permission from anyone to arrange a camping trip with friends?
The issue is if you have "permission" from the Congregation then it is a "church" organized event and the church can be held liable for incidents that occur, ie, injuries, abuse, etc. This is why years ago the KM and WT letters instructed that NO such events were to be organized as a congregation event. No Cong picnics or parties or trips (even to Bethel). Any person organizing any such event was doing it "personally" and was "personally liable".

Depends if Watchtower gave them the OK,
Not a chance in the world that WT gave their blessing on a "congregation camping trip". They know that's a lawsuit waiting to happen even if it only means a youth gets injured by accident.
