  what you are about to watch is another leaked instalment from the recent annual meeting delivered by kenneth cook with the theme "help to tear down and build up" and highlights tge new take o disfellowshipping that will from now concentrate on major wrongdoing whereas minor wrongdoing will be dealt with kind and love.so the watchtower's at it again, rewriting the narrative like an old tv show that conveniently forgets a character's past.

  for decades, the organization has been the ultimate gatekeeper, quick to kick out members for even minor missteps—let's not forget how jehovah's witnesses have had to grovel and practically beg to be reinstated.

  Serious sinner?

  with the statement in the study watchtower this sunday, that stop serving jehovah is a serious sin, the following:.

  - can i conclude now, that we, (i, wife and 2 children), since 2008 pomo and no longer active in any religious activity, are serious sinners for jehovahs witnesses?.

  writing this in a watchtower, a statement like that, could have big implications.. it makes me so sad.

  What concerns me may be an unfounded fear, but this statement leaves it open for Elders to Label any of us as being " Serious sinners" according to their lights, and then we will be treated the same as any actual "Removed Person".

  Experiences After Leaving

  i am writing to ask if anyone cares to share their experience and/or offer advice for people leaving.

  i was raised in the religion, and both my parents died when i was very young.

  i recently stopped associating because my conscience no longer allows me to preach or support the organization.

  Phizzy, that is SO TRUE!

  I sometime still miss the huge network of "friends" (conditional, of course) that we once had. And they were "real" friends (that is, until we stopped associating) that we could depend on in a crisis or when needing help or even just when needing comradery. Most proved to be trustworthy and sincere back then.

  But, I am confident you are correct that we just wouldn't fit in there anymore. We haven't drank the KoolAid in a long time and we can no longer speak the "JW babel" or simply pretend and nod in agreement with all the stuff we know to be bullshit now. I find that I am always astounded by the fact that these people still sit there in their delusional daze and nod blindly.

  he will not pressure her to engage in sexual acts that make her feel uncomfortable, that are demeaning, or that bother her conscience..... the bible does not provide details as to what sexual practices between a husband and a wife should be considered clean or unclean.

  a christian couple must make decisions that reflect their resolve to honor jehovah, to please each other, and to maintain a clean conscience.

  generally speaking, a couple would not discuss with others this intimate aspect of their marriage..

  ALL government agencies have accounting issues. The biggest cause being the fact that they aren't actually accountable to anybody.

  The national debt is the greatest threat to the Country. Committing fraud on government money should be treated as TREASON and those who commit massive fraud should be executed.
  

  Of course trying to get that passed through Congress and all of the fraudsters that are elected government officials would be impossible. However is some shit disturber congressman like Matt Gaetz or Rand Paul would sponsor such a bill, it would be interested in seeing who would vote against it. Perhaps they should go to the top of the list of those who should be investigated.

  i always felt like i was not a "spiritual" person because i loathed going in field service.

  i'm not even sure why i loathed it.

  i am very outgoing and can talk to anyone, anytime, about anything.

  Way, way back, many people enjoyed the visitors and respected religious discussion.

  Today, people don't want to bothered with JWs or anyone else (except maybe Ed McManon (RIP) with the Readers Digest Sweepstakes award).

  Considering they have "the most important life saving message on earth" . . . . perhaps they should reconsider the effectiveness of knocking on doors when no one is home vs some other strategy. OH WAIT! Any other means would cost money. BACK TO WORK YOU SLAVES!

  the watchtower’s approach to "new light" is, frankly, a masterclass in manipulation.

  when they introduce a new interpretation or change their teachings, it's presented as a revelation, showcasing just how guided and spiritually in-tune the governing body is.

  The Watchtower's concept of "new light" allows them to alter previous teachings when they no longer fit current circumstances or interpretations.

  ". . . . when they no longer fit current circumstances or interpretations."

  There are the key words. They NEVER "see the light" in advance. No, it's always AFTER the old light has been proven false and REQUIRES CORRECTION. As 2014 approached and "all those who witnessed the signs" of the beginning of The Last Days were dead, their "OH SHIT!" alarm goes off and they see they have to change the doctrine.

  So it was when the number of the "remnant" started rising instead of diminishing. First, they said any increase was from those still clinging to their doctrines of Christendom, OR . . . . the new (younger) members who were partaking of the Emblems were MENTALLY ILL. (I do still believe the latter excuse.) Since "The Big A" still has not come to bail their ass out of this dilemma, it's time for another CORRECTION.

  So it is with WT and their Divine Direction.

  Holy Spirit my ass!
