Most JWs today are hoping for the same.
mind you, it took the org over 30 years to think it was an idea worth copying.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/family_home_evening.
imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

remember 1975?
maybe when you were a kid - like i was?
i will celebrate 01.10.2025 the 50th anniversary of the "end of 6000 years of human history and the immediate end of the world".
Sadly, at least half of JWs today were either not JWs or not even born yet in 1975 and thus they have NO recollection of that 1975 WT fiasco (Stay Alive 'til '75). At the very best they might know of the vicious rumors unleashed by mentally diseased apostates claiming that WT "prophesied" the culmination of this old system by that time. At least that is how I heard it explained by a newly baptized JW during the WT Study about 10-15 years ago. That's right-- he had been told that all those "lies" about WT forecasting The End by 1975 were apostate falsehoods.

what you are about to watch is another leaked instalment from the recent annual meeting delivered by kenneth cook with the theme "help to tear down and build up" and highlights tge new take o disfellowshipping that will from now concentrate on major wrongdoing whereas minor wrongdoing will be dealt with kind and love.so the watchtower's at it again, rewriting the narrative like an old tv show that conveniently forgets a character's past.
for decades, the organization has been the ultimate gatekeeper, quick to kick out members for even minor misstepsâlet's not forget how jehovah's witnesses have had to grovel and practically beg to be reinstated.
JWs need to. . . . start boldly proclaiming their beliefs
Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!
Do not ask the impossible!
JWs DO NOT KNOW what they believe!
with the statement in the study watchtower this sunday, that stop serving jehovah is a serious sin, the following:.
- can i conclude now, that we, (i, wife and 2 children), since 2008 pomo and no longer active in any religious activity, are serious sinners for jehovahs witnesses?.
writing this in a watchtower, a statement like that, could have big implications.. it makes me so sad.
What concerns me may be an unfounded fear, but this statement leaves it open for Elders to Label any of us as being " Serious sinners" according to their lights, and then we will be treated the same as any actual "Removed Person".
Aren't we already being treated that way?

the watchtowerâs babylon the great: a shrinking reality?.
so this latest annual meeting introduced a new idea about babylon the great, and here is the part from geoffrey jackson's talk we real need to dig in and consider it's ramifications..... so youâve got to hand it to them; they know how to keep things interesting with their ever-evolving interpretations and, of course, those classic "adjustments" in understanding.
In the chronology of Revelation, doesn't Babylon the Great have to fall before all the other things take place?
Sooooo, New Light says BtG has not yet fallen. So what's the freaking hurry? Lots of stuff to take place before worrying about the GT.

God will destroy "wicked ones" at Armageddon.
DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH . . . .
i am writing to ask if anyone cares to share their experience and/or offer advice for people leaving.
i was raised in the religion, and both my parents died when i was very young.
i recently stopped associating because my conscience no longer allows me to preach or support the organization.
If you went back, you wouldn't fit there anymore -- that's healing. ~ Phizzy
Phizzy, that is SO TRUE!
I sometime still miss the huge network of "friends" (conditional, of course) that we once had. And they were "real" friends (that is, until we stopped associating) that we could depend on in a crisis or when needing help or even just when needing comradery. Most proved to be trustworthy and sincere back then.
But, I am confident you are correct that we just wouldn't fit in there anymore. We haven't drank the KoolAid in a long time and we can no longer speak the "JW babel" or simply pretend and nod in agreement with all the stuff we know to be bullshit now. I find that I am always astounded by the fact that these people still sit there in their delusional daze and nod blindly.
he will not pressure her to engage in sexual acts that make her feel uncomfortable, that are demeaning, or that bother her conscience..... the bible does not provide details as to what sexual practices between a husband and a wife should be considered clean or unclean.
a christian couple must make decisions that reflect their resolve to honor jehovah, to please each other, and to maintain a clean conscience.
generally speaking, a couple would not discuss with others this intimate aspect of their marriage..
I totally agree Disgruntled. Although most JW women probably haven't allowed themselves to think or feel about these things. They are too inhibited.
BULLSHIT!
You must not know the JW women I knew and/or married.

ALL government agencies have accounting issues. The biggest cause being the fact that they aren't actually accountable to anybody.
The national debt is the greatest threat to the Country. Committing fraud on government money should be treated as TREASON and those who commit massive fraud should be executed.
Of course trying to get that passed through Congress and all of the fraudsters that are elected government officials would be impossible. However is some shit disturber congressman like Matt Gaetz or Rand Paul would sponsor such a bill, it would be interested in seeing who would vote against it. Perhaps they should go to the top of the list of those who should be investigated.
