No it was no joke. If you go back and read her first post you will see that no one responded to her for several hours. I finaly did and then my wife followed. Please read these first posts. It was clear that she had severe mental problems, because she said she did, no subtle interpretation needed. The question is: how to deal with it and we did the best we knew how.

Have you read the entire history of advice given to struggle? There is nothing more that can be said except to extend our love and let her decide what to do, and I am not putting you down by saying that. At some point she has to decide and act on her decision.

Sometimes things are really simple and there is no Sacred Secret. Because you list a bunch of scriptures together does not mean they have any bearing on the simple, but elegant story that Jesus used to help his students understand the importance of what he was saying. That is all it is. A story. It has no other meaning.

Joel,
I agree, if people follow the example that Jesus provided in the story, then they, as individuals deserve that term being applied to them, as individuals. There is no way that the story can be interpreted to apply to an organization.
