Joker. I would repeat something I stated in my first post. The average apostate is far more accommplished than the average Witness. Try to prove me wrong. Of the 200 or so Witnesses that you know, how many are accomplished and how are they accomplished? I would guess that you can not docuement five out of 200. I can tell you of scores of apastates at this cite who are very accomlished, again, despite the fact that they started with the JW handicap, of no education, pioneer, and all the rest of the rubbish.

Aztec, I know that it is tough in Detroit. I lived in Flint for 16 years, and I know all about it. For some joker jerk to put you or a class of people down, known as apostates, is just plain wrong. CZAR, I am with you; I don't like the guy either. Finally a comment to Joker: I am retired, and I retired at a much earlier age than you will, so I can post here any time I want, and any time of the day or night - so stuff it.

Well, Joker, you are indeed a joker. Your sample size is to small and it is in no way close to being random, as others have pointed out. I know some very accomplished people who post here. They are accomplished despite the fact that the JW religion gave them a late start in life. I could list many such people, but I am not in the mood to do so

Dan The Man, you are the only one here who truely understands stuff. You wrote a most elequant post. Yes, it is Ohio State - sad that they lost their last game to Michigan. OSU could have been national champions. And yes, the Bengels are back after 12 bad years. Unfortunately, as you know they lost to Baltimore yesterday, but I think they will still make the playoffs.

This is a very touching thread. I feel sorry for those whose dreams were dashed. However, there is still time to recover at any age. I wish all of you a good life in going after those dreams that are still there for you. I have a question, for Turnpike Mike. At the age of 23, could you still pursue a football career?

Concerned Mama, I was a vigin as was my wife, when we got married at the Kingdom Hall, but believe me, the thoughts I expessed did cross my mind. I think such thoughts are more common than you would think amongst guys in general.

AAF, thank you for your reply. I do not agree with your belief system, but I really do respect your sincerity. Now, on a fine point: did Satan do it, or was it Satan, plus Adam and Eve? Now, if I do something wrong, or just plain stupid, do I blaim myself (Adam) or do I blaim the one who suggested it (Satan)?

Well, I think that there is another factor here, at least for some guys. I think some, have a "mother - whore complex" They see females within their group as pristine, viginal mother types. They see women in other groups as tramps, and easy. The doesn't apply to just JWs. It could apply between races and across major religious groups. I am not SAYING that this is always the factor, but I think it is in some cases. Now, if a guy has this mindset, he will say anything to get the woman in the sack, and keep her in the sack as long as he can.
