POLL: are they still JWs?

i was talking to my df mom the other day and she mentioned that the jw couple who brought her into the 'troof' had gone apostate.

my mind wandered a bit, and i thought about how the person who brought me into the 'troof' is no longer in it either....and then i realized that the person who brought in most of the jws i know, isn't a jw anymore!.

poll question: is the person who brought you into the jws still a jw themselves?

freedom of speech is a good thing.

but any good thing can turn into a bad thing when it is taken to extremes.

personal attacks do not need to be protected.

all prophets: here is your chance to go on the record and tell us all what you think this special, jw-only meeting in sept is going to be about.

then, after the fact, when we know what it was about, you will get all the glory due a true prophet.

all those who were wrong, well, you will taunted and laughed at by the other prophets.

in another thread, there is a discussion about young people leaving the jws at a rate of something like 88%.

we see the rules given to the sheep for raising their children and we shake our heads saying, dont they get it?

what is wrong with the org that it cant see how they are treating the youth?

i just had this im conversation with a jw and wanted to share.

i changed the names to protect the guilty.

also, for the record, i never said i was a jw and i thought everyone knew i wasn't a jw!.

this is a question my df mother would like me to post for her:.

would it be morally right to go back to the jws, even though she doesn't feel it is god's org?

she would do this in order to speak with her life long friends and her youngest daughter, all of whom are quite emotionally distraught due to her dfing.

hello fellow ex-es,.

i took a class in cultural anthropology that touched on the subjects of language and doublespeak, loaded language, jargon etc.

i set to reading the "live forever" book looking for these things.

it was anounced today on "extra" and they said we would soon see a change in his music because he was "marrying his music to his religion.
