What - if any - Religon are you now practicing?

i know this seems like a dumb subject.. but i often wonder if many of us still believe and feel the need to worship - and not the borg either .

so here is a poll.... what religious orginization - if any - are you affiliated ( this does not mean you had to join it)?.

or - do you feel that everything is wrong due to the borg..and will you ever consider going to an organized religon again??.

I'm busy enjoying Christian liberty and a fantastic relationship with God. I think the conscience can be a pretty good guide, and currently feel very at peace with the world.

I attend whichever church I fancy, when I fancy.
I have a good relationship with people of many faiths (including pagans), and those with none.

I feel no need to become dogmatic, either in doctrine, or walk of life.
I hold my own opinions, and freely discuss them, but am happy for anyone to differ - after all, that's their business, not mine.

So far my favourite denomination is proving to be the "Free Church of Scotland", which is Calvinist Reformed Protestant.
The main reason is that they have great Psalmody and a love of the bible.

it seams that most of the british isles are represented here, we have english, welsh, conrnish(well they like to think they are a seperate country)irish (no offence , but you're close enought to britian),but where are the scotts?.

Online Bibles

i believe there are many on this forum who are not aware of the many online bibles from which they could almost effortless copy verses to paste into their arguments.

when one refers to a particular verse in a particular book, few readers have the patience to go seach through the whole book.. the online source i use is called "bible gateway.

" it provides several different versions of the bible, and offers word search, which is an indispensible tool for those who take their bible research seriously.. bible gateway is at http://bible.gospelcom.net/.

They had the "hope", but still weren't clear on so many of the details, as evidenced by their surprise at His being taken away and executed.

Much is made of this "heavenly hope" business, as in a recent Watchtower that my wife thrust under my nose.
The truth is that the disciples were looking to be with their Lord, not looking to a particular place (John 13:37).
I would rather be in the worst hell-hole, with Christ, than in heaven without Him.

They didn't have the assurance of the Holy Spirit until Pentecost.
It is thought, by some, that they were in the upper room "partaking" as commanded. After that act of faith they were filled with the Spirit.
It is the Spirit which makes the change, as Paul evidenced in Romans 8.

If you got baptised, they'd just use you as an example of persecution, like they did in Russia.

The funny answers might be a laugh, for a while, but they'd soon cotton-on and stop asking you.

The joke about the elderly ones was not funny. Some of us still have aged parents (and some have grandparents) that are chained to the borg.
And before you get smart - wise up!

I can read your question two ways, just like the Wt reads the bible.
1. If you are saying that the society has stated that statistics don't impress God, but nonetheless their numbers play a role in the divine purpose, I would deny this.
2. If you are saying that numbers (in general) play some role in the divine purpose, then that has to be a given, since God has proved to be a great mathematician.

I'd love to see you do the chronology for 1935, as I find no evidence for it.
FYI, I am post 1935 anointed, and got the heck out of that corrupt and devious man-made organization!
Usually, numbers add up - unless thay come from Brooklyn!

been doing a little reading on the "exclusive brethren" on the rick ross cult site.. here are some excerpts from an article written by an ex member:.

And finally, how many people are offered the "Reasoning" book?

I think there's a fair number of the rules and regs, there, that are under restricted release. That's without even going into all the Body of Elder's letters.
So much for an open society!
