American Witnesses face difficult time over flag
by ozziepost inreports are coming from the united states that small flags and flag badges are being distributed at schools and other public places.. many are refusing to take a flag and this is causing resentment and hurt feelings.

About a month ago, I found a gold charm for a charm bracelet of a jet. I was going to give it to my flight attendant friend across the street. I picked it up last Wed and put it on a chain around my neck. Every time I look at it...well...I look at it a lot. People from 40 different countries were killed in that massacre. Not just Americans. I prefer to remember all of them.

My Encounter with a Witness

the conversation started very nicely, with the usual small talk and such.
i decided to ask some questions, that i knew the answers to, but just wanted to get the gears in his head turning.

Hi UP :) That was very brave of you actually to takee him on. The newbies are the most fearsomely engrained with doctrine and hardest, I think to shake. But he will go to more studies and more calls and will hear those same things you said over and over and over. I dont think it will take years. His curiousity will get the best of him and he will maybe hit the internet or start looking at his own old literature in the hall library.
Once I started to REALLY doubt, even after being in 13 years, it was a quick exit :)

Hi JB :) Well maybe he has to stay or lose his entire family...thats a heavy duty incentive to stay. But by his being inside he can reach more people, and...give us out here these lovely tidbits even before the rank and file know. Im grateful for his presence inside. I feel bad that he is there, and you know...it hurts more to stay when you dont, with every fiber, want to be there one more second...but you cant go.

was there something special said today?

The JWs in the chat rooms have been denying VEHEMENTLY that their organization reacted this way. How well the Society hides their selfishness and their self preservation from the masses. And....particularly well do they hide it from the public. Their PR site would of course lead ONES to believe they give a shit.
Millions upon millions of EXJWS know they REVEL in this and other catastrophe's as a CAUSE to place literature.

Eulogy for My Father

mst, duane floyd checketts, 77 died in his sleep due to complications from pneumonia.
he is survived by his wife bette and two children, douglas checketts, patty smith, and 8 grandchildren.. duane, who was fondly called duke by everyone who knew him was born in farmington, utah on march 8, 1924. his father floyd, was one of 10 children raised in a tiny house built by his own mormon father who immigrated in the early 1860's from birmingham, england.

Beautifully said Doug :) Im sure wherever your dad is, he's saying boy howdy did I SCREW UP wasting my life in that cult. More people will read this than will listen to that Jehovahs Witness Infomercial they so coldly read at JW funerals. Nothing sickens me more than taking advantage of the sorrow of others to SELL PRODUCTS and thats all that talk is.
I hope somebody remembers me that fondly.

I Said Goodbye
by Farkel inmy father was rushed by ambulance from his rest home to st. marks hospital in salt lake city, utah friday, but i only just heard about it.
i received a call from the floor nurse and she told me he is not expected to live.
his lungs are filled fill up with fluid and are continuing to fill u with more fluid: he has pneumonia.
