Oprah loves her Christian faith. Loves the Lord, believes in there being meanings to things that happen to you and if you are blessed then you need to do something with the blessings you have been given. She loves spiritual singing..the CeCe Wynans and that ilk....and I think she has been friends with the celebs before they became bonkers Scientologists.
You think for a minute if she was a scientologist that they wouldnt demand she use her show, her magazine and her public appearances as a platform to advertise for them?? Oh yes they would.

Being as 1) nobody could carry a tune if it was in a bucket hanging off their arm 2) the Kingdom Orchestra was just as bad as the honky tonk senile piano player we had doing the songs in the mid 80s or B) the guy running the tape deck was clueless and usually had the wrong song cued up or... God I hated 99% of em. I walked down the aisle in my wedding to We Love You Jehovah...what the F---was I thinking??? There was a song that was two pages wide and about 4 verses long 131 or 181 or something...but it was INTERMINABLE. shit it was long, boring, unmelodic and one week, since it was then the speakers job to assign us songs that went with his talk subject, we ended up singing that damn song TWICE IN ONE DAY because unbeknownst to the poor guy we had it at the beginning of the Watchtower Study as well.
I told him I was very close to murdering him and he apologized profusely for torturing us like that. :)
Also...did you ever wonder how people who had no clothes, food, water or warmth managed to have pencil and paper in the concentration camps to write songs?

Unopened letter from my solicitor still waiting on my desk, can't bear it
by needproof inaggggghhh i was sent this letter from my solicitor about a week ago now and i can't bring myself to open it.
around 3 years ago i had an accident at work which screwed my back up.
i went to a personal injury firm who said i could get compensation.

I Served a Seder Dinner!

whilst the memorial was happenin....i was at a jewish client's house (i do house watching for snow birds) helping her serve her seder to 20 guests :) got to sit and listen to the whole shabang.
they might eat little tiny bits of stuff during the ceremony but boy howdy did they make up for it afterwards!

Now is the time for you to have a nervous breakdown. Im serious about this. Lose your appetite, cry at the drop of a hat, make an appointment to go see a psychiatrist and bring home a bottle of antidepressants. GIVE yourself the out to get off that school...to stop going to meetings....to withdraw. When your wife wants to know what the hell is going on with you...tell her you are tormented by having to live a life that doesnt reflect what your heart knows to be the truth. A little at a time. A little at a time. The Society contradicts themselves and causes enough termoil just by their demands on the flock without you ever having to reference anything but a watchtower publication as the cause of your crisis of conscience.
Im serious. Take all that pain, that angst that anguish you just showed up and SHOW IT TO YOUR FAMILY. You can do this without revealing "apostate thinking".
I DAd myself...I wish now I had just faded. I dont think they would have pursued me but whats done is done.
