by JWFreak inour po...who is really full of himself....reckons that he is reading a special letter tonight, he says he isn't allowed to tell fellow elders before the public reading.
just a word of caution....our po...is one who loves all the mystery and secrets, so my inkling is that it will be a crock of crap.
however it may prove to be interesting...i will tell you after meeting tonight.

Society Lossing Money, Free Literature to avoid paying Taxes backfires
by frankiespeakin inwhen i was an elder many moons ago, the wt came out with it's free literature change to aviod taxes, before that it was encouraged that all congregations pay for all litterature in stock instead of the wt doing so.. this no doubt was done to make it more profitable for the wt and in antisipation of a loss in the tax case with swagert and the state of california of which the wt was envovled.. this in my estimation was a big blunder as many congregations were not paying enough in contributions to pay for the literature they now recieved free.
the case in my congregation i'm sure was typical of congs everywhere as the poorer friends used it as an opportunity to stock up and get some of the more expensive books that would complete thier libraries at home and in the process failed to give the needed contributions for literature.. in my congregation the co gave instructions to the lit servant not to get these more exspencive items for those that looked like they wouldn't contribute enough, this put an unecasarry burden on the lit servant to be the bad guy, and he came to me and i told him order anything the friends want and not to deny anybody it is not your responciblity to decide,, let the society decide if they want to.
as i felt this to be wrong and put the ms in the place of judge as to who gets literature and who don't depending on ability to contribute.. well it seems years latter now this has been a real source of finacial loss for the wt(yeah!).

Im thinking the time will come when the friends can OPT to get their literature PDF online. And in doing so can only get it via the Watchtower.org web site using a pin number. That can really save them some money. They have already figured out that they CANT keep their rags out of the hands of people who want to see them destroyed...I mean they GIVE them to people dont they? They DISTRIBUTE them dont they? Its not like anything in there is worthy of keeping secret.

we havent been so close until recently and i actually guessed that this is what is going on with him.
he himself is just in the last couple of years coming to grips with it and finally taking measures to become the woman he has always felt he was.

I know "she" yells at me when I call her a guy...
The other side of this is...she...is married to a great lady who knows and has known about this for decades and married "him" eyes wide open four years ago about the time she started her transformation. So...we have a guy who was born a girl, who is becoming the girl she really is, who loves and prefers women. So is she becoming a lesbian? Its so confusing.
I bought the book Middlesex right after Oprah had the author on last year ironically ...and had it sitting on my desk all this time untouched. Now I am reading it. But she has recommended a few other books on the subject that might help me understand it better.
I have to admit it freaks me out some. It's serious business to her tho. I remember having this mental adjustment going on in my head the first time I found out one of my best friends was bi. Its mostly my very white bread small town upbringing that never allowed for anyone in my town to be different. I always vowed I was never going to be like that and had to shake off that mentality when I left the JWs because they hate anything that isnt them.

I recently found out someone I care a lot about is transgendered. We havent been so close until recently and I actually guessed that this is what is going on with him. He himself is just in the last couple of years coming to grips with it and finally taking measures to become the woman he has always felt he was. He is tired of "butching it" to keep the status quo and was and still is, terrified that everyone in his life will leave him or label him a freak now. He has already has his testicles removed because the hormones he was taking couldnt fight the testosterone levels he was producing...but now the changes are becoming dramatic and rapid.
Im pretty open minded...and I said to him, I really dont know what to make of this you are my first transgendered person...and he replied "mine too!" But I KNOW my family will no longer accept him when he becomes a her. Particularly my JW husband who is phobic about ANYTHING that even remotely smacks of left or right of center in his life.
I could use some advice.

i still comment and give my talks.. anyway, some of my friends are getting word about me being investigated, some in my family too.
a couple i used to preach with every week no longer call me and bug me to join them.

Real friends stick with you no matter WHAT you believe. No matter WHAT you express. They feel free to tell you if you are out of line or if they have a problem with something you did or say but they continue to be your friend and they desire to work through differences because your relationship...you...are worth it to them. They are not there conditionally.
JWs call each other "the friends" but this is brought to you by the same group who call what they say "the truth"
You will soon hear crickets where once your JW "friends" were in your life. There is no gray area. You are either towing the JW line or they have no use for you. All that they think or feel in their hearts will be absolutely useless to you. You cant go to the movies with the feeling someone has or had in their hearts for you before you became...shunned.

Down here in S. Florida there is a Pioneer Pest Control. Obviously though, they dont hire ALL JWs. I found it ironic that when we went with the kids to visit Santa at a local annual Christmas display that next to him was parked his truck. Across the side of it? Pioneer Pest Control. LOLOL!!! They really do need to screen their employees better on the app...."Ever been or intend to portend to be...Santa? Yes.....No......."

My mother in law went back because she missed "the friends" too...and it was NEVER the same again. She never was fully accepted back. They had already written her off. So...I think if you let it run its course, it will probably happen to her as well. Its sad to see...but that kind of support and love can be replaced by other women.

So like little kids, as long as the elders dont find out what they are doing, they can do whatever they want to on the internet and they DO. Always have...always will. And they will ALWAYS bend the rules to suit themselves...always have always WILL. Look for a way to get around that article about the dangers of the internet, use semantics to explain what you are doing in a web site UNMISTAKABLY filled with ANTI JW RHETORIC. "Oh Im doing nothing WRONG" they always say LOLOL! Yep...go on into that Kingdom Hall and tell those elders you spend hours and hours in chat rooms with deeply entrenched apostates and opposers when you are not under their constant miscreant watch. You arent fooling anybody. Talk all you want to. Make all the excuses you want to using all the big words you want to. The rules of behavior layed down by the Watch Tower Society are CLEAR.

The JW lifer "brother" (with the annointed pioneer mother and the elder father) who introduced me to the "truth" in 1984 revealed the reality of this BORG to me from the get go... he slept with anybody who would sleep with him and said he could "do anything but have penetration and it was not considered fornication". But, He said, laughingly, "if you get caught, just cry, the elders are just MEN and they can be fooled." And when he was caught online picking up women and involved in an ALL JW S&M ring...and marked....he said "Damn, now nobody is going to come to my Super Bowl party on Sunday!" Uh huh....Goooood Christians. So upset he was that he was displeasing Jehovah right? WRONG! He got BUSTED and it messed up his PLAY TIME! So do what all the good JWs do...Play the angles, surround yourself with like minds, find the loopholes...learn all the tricks of the trade in the name of God. Then go door to door telling everybody you are SUPERIOR to them and that God will destroy THEM if they dont become like YOU. LOLOL!

The Watchtowers "teachings" (read: mandates) are as loosely based on the BIBLE as The Pharisees' version was based on the Mosaic Law. They take it, add to it, depend on the ignorance of their followers, the fear of retribution for NOT following it as the Pharisees did, then claim that God Speaks Through Them...as the Pharisees also did. They keep their followers in fear, in silence, in ignorance, separating them from ANY outside influences and sources of information for fear their Pharisaic ways will be exposed. No "worldly" friends, no worldly mates or classmates in activities like sports or dance or band or choir, no education past high school, no reading of literature from other religions, no use of other bibles besides the NWT except for purposes of luring in a new recruit, no questioning of what is written in ANY of their literature. No expressing of concerns, doubts or viability of anything in the "current understanding". no reading of OLD literature so as not to see the OLD understandings, no reading of any books written by JWs as they are not condoned or edited by the Society, no reading of any past history of the Society except for the Society's own EDITED versions of their history. No voicing of any opinions or extra study OUTSIDE what is written in the outlines for talks or in the paragraphs of any article.....no freedom to believe ANYTHING except that which is mandated and sanctioned by the Governing Body.
NOT a cult? NOT controlling? NOT a condemning, judgemental, mind controlling soul sucking hateful beast?
