  Scooter...wherever that kind man is, God blessed him for helping you honey. Can you link me to your story?

  I think most recently, the kindest thing done for me was my mother in law coming down and taking care of my family while I underwent a hysterectomy and recovery. And...since my husband is a Jw and she was , at the time anyway, an EXJW, it was probably uncomfortable for her. When I finally came home from the hospital after four rough days, my house and my yard were neat and clean and the larder full so I wouldnt have to worry about anything. It wasso nice to be able to come home and relax, and know my kids were well taken care of. Unfortunately as soon as she left my side, she decided to go back to the hall...and hasnt spoken to me since. :( what can you do.

  freeing your family from a cult through family counseling.

  i believe a wonderful opportunity was just handed to me by wife, maybe.

  she thinks thate my younger son should get some professional counseling because he is not doing his schoolwork and is displaying some classic early signs of depression.

  Might I suggest you talk to grandmum and tell her your feelings? She will probably be MUCH more understanding that dad...perhaps then she will tell dad to BACK OFF. Your life until he appeared isnt going to go away just because he snaps his fingers. Probably grandmum will be delighted you can come at all, and will bless your visitng your friend to be with her in her time of need. I think she would feel bad if you DIDNT help your friend you know? She might be new to you...but I think she will appreciate your reaching out to her you know? :)

  19th Wedding Anniversary!

  on this day, 19 years ago, my lovely wife and i were married at assumption catholic church in spokane, washington, usa.. she put up with me, when a month later i got involved with 'hovahs.

  she stuck with me for the next ten years through my 'hovahness.

  her family, my family, accepted me back without question when i dumped the wts, and shed the fake, thin veneer of being a 'hovah.

  JW Bro-in law dies

  sunday my brother-in-law, loyd gardiner, died.

  he was an elder in the richmond, indiana congregation for about 50 years.. my son and i are having real problems deciding what to do.

  we had decided not to go to the services because almost everyone there will be jws and we do not see the need to expose ourselves to the rude treatment by them.. i got a phone message last night from someone, not baptized jw, who thought we should go to the viewing today, to show "our respects".

  Borg...you know what my friend? Whatever bonds held your brother in law in life...are now gone. I believe there is a soul, I believe our loved ones see us, and he's free now and seeing what a huge mistake he made shunning you, or being a JW for that matter. Go and let him know you forgave and have already forgotten, and understood why he had to do what he did. :) And dont for a NANNOSECOND give a *(#&@%*( what anybody else in that room is thinking or doing!

  Memorial: Tribute to Jesus, or fashion show??

  while i'm not a regular as much as i used to be (maybe get to the hall 10 times a year), i always give praise and thanks to jehovah and his son jesus as requested in the bible on the appropriate day.

  i have never missed a memorial.

  whether or not i agree with everything the gb or watchtower puts out or says, is irrelevant.

  The more the JWs try to NOT be like "Christendom" whom they disdain, the more they are just LIKE them. People started talking about what they were going to wear to the Memorial the minute the KM came out talking about when it was, which was like February. I guess since we, they, have absolutely nothing else to look forward to during the year, they get excited about this...which is only 45 minutes of extremely depressing ritualistic behavior. Pagan? Yeah...point accusing fingers at the Easter Bunny and then show me where in the bible it says only the ELITE of the "Christians" get to partake. The Jw method of "celebrating" the memorial is based on total fiction. It only points a finger at those the JWs feel are "unworthy", makes new ones feel unwelcome and since they COUNT everybody who goes to this, its only a large JW infomercial so they can use the number as bragging rights at every photo op. Its heinous. Do the other churches count how many people attend Christmas services (and ONLY Christmas) and say that thats how many people are members of their church??
