Presuming there is just one of us....If you got 1 person out in year 1 (2 of you), then in year two you each get a person out (4 of you), then in year three you each get a person out (8 of you), so on and so forth, you would have 8 million+ people by year 24.

Infinity and god - why wait to create the universe?
by Simon inhere's the problem with infinity ... we can't comprehend it.. it's bad enough when it's space, but when it's time as well and then we throw in some all powerful creature supposedly existing forever ... well, it just doesn't make sense and raises questions.. such as why wait?
why didn't god create the universe the day before he did?
or the day before that?

Evolution is Crap, there I said it!
by Crazyguy inok i started another thread and every one jumped on me because i was trying to take the theory of evolution out of the mix and most here seem to believe in it so i will just say it.

Last but not least evolutionist can not explain how the laws of physics came about under the evolutionist theory.
For the first part of your rant, I recommend you read "The Greatest Show on Earth". Evolution is a fact.
Secondly, why would you expect a biologist to explain physics?

They use the same ones everyone else does, meaning their own personal morals, desires and thoughts, except they give both their best ideas and worst desires credit to invsible sky daddy to justify them.

Why do animals grow old and die?...
by nolongerconfused inso what is a jw's explanation on why animals grow old and die?.....
last time i checked, animals did not sin nor did they rebel against god.... so why do they have the same fate as humans?.
has anyone asked this question?.

But animals are NOT just our food source.
I don't think anyone is saying that.
They are equal to us, even if we don't treat them as such.
Ah, well, that's an interesting debate topic, one I am not going to wade into. At the very least, they have the same morals :)
Don't get me wrong, my burger was beef, but the reality is... A bullocks muscle and fat is no different to ours really.
Bollocks! (I just wanted to say that)
I am well aware the physiologically we're pretty much the same. A ribeye still tastes delicious though. I marinated it in chimichurri (homemade) before grilling it, then added more chimichurri.

Animals aren't made of food you nutter
The ribeye I grilled last night was made of food. Every living thing is food to some other living thing.
Jesus Christ shoot me now....
Uh, no.

Actually, the site of the old city of Tyre, 25 centuries later remains a bare rock, uninhabited, without even a ruin to mark the spot.
Wrong again, Vanderhoven. While parts of ancient Tyre arepreserved as an archeological site and parts of the ancient city are underwater, there is no more "island", the isthmus connects what was the old island to the mainland and it is quite well inhabited, both the mainland, the isthmus and parts of the ancient city. There are plenty of ruins.
God's word rocks...excuse the pun.
Ezekiel also predicted the Nile would dry up. Didn't happen. Rocks are what you need in your head to believe this stuff.

Vanderhoven, apologetic rambling cut-n-paste jobs about switching context aside, Tyre exists today. The prophecy said Tyre would be destroyed. The prophecy said Nebuchadnezzar would destroy it. Both failed.
Taking five paragraphs to explain why a failed prophecy isn't failed is very similar to the JW argument about Judas being there for the bread and wine. It's a lot of mental gymnastics to try to make something pretty plainly written mean something else.

You asked for one prophecy. Here is one that is absolutely amazing and clearly attests to the hand of God in scripture.
http://www.apologeticspress.org/apcontent.aspx?category=13&article=1790
Nope. Ezekiel 26 clearly says Nechabnezzar would destroy Tyre. He laid siege to the city for 13 year and ultimately went home. Tyre was destroyed 200+ years later by the Greeks.
I am still waiting for a SINGLE specific prophecy in the Bible that came true.....

No point to anything? What does that mean? Does it mean that it matters not whether I beat my kids or love them?
