whether you like or dislike him as a politician you have to admit that he did look genuinely overjoyed and 'proud as punch' at the birth of his little girl unlike some who appeared to see such events as a photo opportunity.. sadly, she was quite premature and i've just heard on the news that she has died.

Disassociating==shunning...yes or no???

i have had several here tell me that if try to disassociate yourself from the org that you will be subject to shunning.

is this true?.

i discussed this issue with the witnesses with whom i study.

I was told that if you disassociated that I would not be shunned either - but I welcomed it when it happened. The understanding I hae is this - the Dubs believe that ANYONE not attending Meetings regularly is no a "GOOD ASSOCIATION" therefore - if you have chosen to disassociate - you are now a bad association and to associate with you is a judgement call. Many do not wish to be "yoked with an unbeliever" and will no longer associate with you.
That is not the case here - we don't care - we associate with all.

Suicide and This and That .....

how many of you have really gone through suicidal feelings, when you felt that no-one at all was out there to try to assist you?

did it help you to be told by so called friends, 'just pull your socks up!

' did you feel that such admonition was really daft and stupidly uncaring?

I hae been in that position.. I have contemplated suicide and even sent the children away so I could carry out my plan. I am so very thankful that my one adopted sister (Sue) did not leave me alone. She didn't do as so many other said - "pull up the bootstraps" Nor did she give the pattented Dub responce "You Need to get to a meeting.."
She stayed with me... Kept me busy.. got involved.
I am alive due to her persistance. And her LOVE!!
How sad that so many though do not have anyone who is willing to take the interest as she did.
How hard it was to realize that I was one of only 2 people who noticed she was missing!! That she needed help. She is in the same position that I had been when she saved me!!
Poeple need to quit being so negative and start to care about one another!!
My thoughts are with you Celtic.....

A Sad report on a Family's "Loving"

i don't believe how those in the borg have the ignorance to say that they are the "most loving" of all religions!!.

case in point..... this past weekend my "adopted sister" went missing on me - (she lives about 1 & 1/2 hours away) i couldn't reach her by phone and when i called anyone in her family -with the exception of merry (other adopted sister) no one lifted a finger to find anything out!!!.

i called continually for the weeknd, and gave some thought to the fact that she may have went someplace for new years.

I called continually for the Weeknd, and gave some thought to the fact that she may have went someplace for New Years.
However, when I failed to reach her on Tuesday or Wednesday morning...(she has a abusive husband who she left this past year- and dispite having a Protection from Abuse order - continues to hold her hostageat times and harras her..)
I called her parents (DUBS) who informed me that they hadn't spoken to her for 3 week - because she hasn't called them (they liveless than a mile from her!), I finally got them to realize that something may be seriously wrong. Only then did they take action and call the police to check on her - Woe be it for them to leave the house - and drive the few blocks!![8>]
Such Love!!
Thankfully Sue was found.. but only after several hours.. she had been afraid to return to her home due to a neighbor's attack on her child and her husbands threats...but not harmed much.
How sad it is that those who claim to be so very Loving are so negligent when it comes to the welfare of their own child..Thankfulls this time it was not a bad outcome.. but what if I didn't call her daily?? Would she be a statistic?? I hate to think how that would be!
Anyway - I just had to let someone know how very upset I am at the lack of concern by those "LOVING DUBS!"

Just an update for you all!!!

my wife just called me at work to inform me the same 2 elders that paid us a visit the other night stopped by this morning ( while i wasn't home, of course!).

they said they wanted to talk to her about the way she felt about the organization.

she basically said the same things i did and they told her that there would be a letter of disassociation read at the next meeting.

Congrats on not being bullied by them!! Sorry that you are having the problems with them..I know how hard that is - they never want to do anything until they feel like it may look bad to the rest of the cong. - sad, very sad.
I do love the fact that she was able to stand her ground and point out to them the falsehoods they are being fed by the GB. May it have an affect on they for the good - that they too start questioning and leave the mind controll and lies of the Borg!!!!

i never thought i would say this but it was almost a safe, comfort, to be able to define myself as an df'd exjw who is just muddling through life until the new system comes and destroys me along with all the other wicked people.

What a beautiful name for a beautiful person! I have a feeling that you will get over all of the programing that you have underwent as a child.
It will not be easy... but to steal a phrase" nothing worth having ever is easy" (okay - I know someone said that - I just don't remember who!)
I know you will do it and feel more and more free with each step. Congradulations! And Welcome!
May you start this upcoming year wih this first step! I like to think that even though those in the Borg feel that we are not worth anything - I know I am worth something - because I have influenced others in their lives. I didn't have anyone over my shoulder who is counting my hours... or watching to see when I messed up... I did it because I know that if I was in their place I'd apreciate the help and love shown towards me.

and in the last 2 calls i've had with my mom, she hasn't said a word.
