CHANGED---NEW POLICY/INVITATION

as a few may recall watchtower policy has changed when circumstances serves the interest of the governing body in getting rid of someone they want to railroad.

an example that has been offered involves peter gregerson.

peter was a personal friend to ray franz, in 1980 peter wrote a letter to the society, saying he wanted no further association with the organization.

Wow , Bill!!!! Wild Turkey would love to sit right next to you this Thursday nite. We have too much going on to leave town this Thursday . I would love to , after they read the announcement for many to just get up and walk out.

Our disassociation letters will be read Thursday nite too. I guess we all 3 are going out at the same time. Ours is voluntary, there was just no way around it. But I am ready to get on with the rest of my life. We just put all three of our kids in school and I hope to give them, what is left a some kind of happy childhood.

I have had it with JW rules and regulations , their lies, their hypocrisy, their total lack of love. I would still love to continue to be supportive of those who are silenced lambs and also for any who's family has committed suicide because of disfellowshipping. If you know of anyone who ever needs to talk to someone about this, my email is always open and you have my cell number. My mom killed herself 16 yrs ago, after being d/f for only 4 months. The pain of that has never gotten better for me, and I hold the JW with some blood guilt regarding her death.

Stay strong Bill, and give our love to your family, this must be hard for them too.

Suicide

sister disfellowshipped between ages of 17-24yrs old.

i lost track of her between this time as she was in another congregation.

i eventually moved permanently to her cong.

I agree Latte, too many suicides after being disfellowshipped. My mother committed suicide when she was only 35, the same age I am now. She had been a witness for 16 yrs and got d/f , four months later she was gone.

At least you remember Sarah, maybe those in the hall remember her but in what way. I am all too familiar with what they thought of my mom, and they all have alot to answer for one day.

I would like for there never to be anymore Sarah's, or Lura's( my mom) who are so alone and full of guilt that they take such a tragic road . I think it is a great idea to go public with the devestation that being disfellowshipped causes. I would be more than willing to give my full support to such an effort.

It makes me feel good to know you still think of Sarah.

A week away from being a "normal" fam...

yep , it will happen next monday morning at 8:30 am.

all of my children will be attending their very first day of school, jake is 15, kelly is 9 and chance is 7. they are so excited about getting school supplies , backpacks, i almost said bookbags, lol , for the first time.

my daughter said this is her dream come true.

She really wants to be a cheerleader and has already been recruited to play basketball because she is tall.

Today was a wonderful first of another kind. My oldest son, joined the school's football team #48, for now , it was his first time to play with a school group and he was excellent. I even took pictures, i bet he might have been a little embarrased by that. The school is a private school that has small classes so that will help them to fit in better since they have never been.

Of course I am thinking of all the things to say to the teachers about why I kept them out of school and mainly I am going to just be truthful and tell them we were in a cult that didnt approve of sports, or any other activies involved with the school. So far the ones I have talked to seem to be the most understanding , non judgmental people I have met in a long time.

One of the coach's told us that they say a prayer before the game and will do the pledge of alligence, and we said that was great , no problem there.

Right now , my son is passed out in the bed, after 2 hrs of football practice. I am so happy, I had tears in my eyes watching him out on that field, in his uniform. He just smiled at me , a smile that only we know what really means. I am just glad that he has his high school years to have a blast and be normal. The younger ones will also be thankful they are getting a proper education , even thou they are more concerned with lunch, recess, and making friends.

Wild Turkey and I , just can't wait for the first football game, the report cards, the field trips and all the things that make children feel like they are normal and belong. There will be no restrictions on what they can do, Xmas, b/d's, easter egg pictures are all ok. Can you tell I am excited?????

I just hope they don't get expelled,,,,,,,,,,,,, LOL............ Just thought I would pass on another milestone in the Brown family saga, of being just a bit more normal.

Bluegrass Anyone......?

i just wanted to throw out a little good publicity for my good friend becky schlegel.

she's a great bluegrass artist with a phenomenal voice; also a terrific song writer.

I have never been a big bluegrass fan, but here lately I have come to appreciate it. I think it started with the Where art thy brother movie, with George Clooney. Have you heard of the Cox Family? They are in the movie too, and Suzanne Cox the female lead volcalist went to school with Denny and so did Sidney Cox, he sings and write the bands songs. All right here from little old Cotton Valley, LA. THey have such sweet voices and clean songs.

I also love Allison Kraus,,,,,,, she has been involved with the Cox family, and I think Sidney Cox wrote one of her first hits.

Denny's aunt lives in Kentucky and it was such a wonderful place, when I see the movie , it reminds me of the simple country life there. It seems like a place I would fit it, not sure my oldest son would like being a country boy, but I long for the good ole days. I have always felt like I should have been born in the 30's.

Ladies. Your Favourite Bunch Of Flowers Would Be?

if i was to meet some of you ladies for the first time, i might be tempted to buy you a bunch of flowers, what spray tickles your fancy the most?

i know for englishmans missus, her ladyship, her bunch of flowers would include freshias.

please give me some advice on the appropriate action i should take if i met you for the first time.

I love flowers , but I don't really care for them as a gift. My husband is always trying to buy me some and I tell him I'd rather have a hersey bar w/almonds and an ice cold can of coke.

I think the best smelling flower is off of the sweet olive tree, we had one as a kid and it's fragrance filled the summer night all down the block. You really have to look to find them , but a bouquet of those would be special to me, because I loved that tree my mom planted and brings back some good memories just smelling them.

What a freak I was.........

i am cleaning house for a pending garage sale and started cleaning out the hall closet.

way in the back, covered w/dust, was my big bible and pioneer book.

i sat down on the bed and opened it up...... what a freak i was!.

I know what you mean , scooter, I too looked thru all the books, watchtowers, when I did something wrong as a kid. I could have never went to my elder dad, I would have rather faced Jehovah in armeggedon than tell on myself for some really petty sin I commited.

I also remember the nights I prayed and prayed for forgiveness, cried, moaned and wrote poetry to God to show him how sorry I was.

Those repressed memories are hard to face , seems like in my case they would have surfaced along time ago, I still could do without them .I don't wont to remember anymore about the past, it sucked.

My mother bought me a bottle of Chane No.5 when I was 15, have been wearing it every since.

My son thinks that I and my side of the bed smells like peaches. He loves to tell me that all the time , I think that is so precious.

I also like Rush by Gucci, it has only been out a couple of years, but it is not too strong of a smell , subtle is the key. LOL

Ok, like who gives a crap , but here is my fluffy opinion:

I agree with Valis, again. This board serves alot of purposes. Can we just please leave it the hell alone?????????????

I would hate for poor Simon to just get fed up with all of this and shut the whole board down. I dont think he will, but it scares me to think it could happen. This place has been so much fun for me, not to mention great for the healing process leaving the borg.

I like the way the board is set up, Simon has done a wonderful job. He has made catagories we can go into , if we only want to read about those things. We are not forced to go into the active topics and other general topics if we choose not to. This is called freedom. I dont think there needs to be more rooms, more bottons or whatever. Just dont read what you think might be fluff, and you pretty much can tell,,,,,,,,,, I mean I posted one of fluff a few hours ago, on are you an animal lover? The title in itself waves the fluff flag.

I have personally woke up in the morning feeling depressed and read some terrible experience about someone's life as a JW , and felt really bad for them . Then I move on to another "fluff" thread, if that is what you want to call it, and it brightened my outlook for the day. The less serious topics may not be earth shattering insightful knowledge of the universe, but it helps us to get to know one another.

Like it was said before, when you truly are sitting around a group of friends over dinner, the subject matter changes from the serious such as business, all the way down to dog farts.......... this is reality. Well at least it is that way at our house and with our friends.

BTW , i had to laugh at what LB said........... that was good comic relief at it's finest!!

This is a beautiful picture. It is wonderful and heartwarming to see ex jw's with smiling faces. Especially after we have been taught when we leave the borg , how utterly miserable we will be.

Let's keep up the good work and prove the WT wrong............

I plan on making my first apostofest in Dallas, Tx. USA, next week and I can't wait. Very nervous but can't wait to meet my brothers and sisters not in the faith........lol.......

Isnt it great that we havent lost that worldwide brotherhoood afterall........... look at how much we have gained. True friends, people that really do care about us.

Again it please my heart to see the bond that we all have , regardless of our distance, we are really close in thought and heart .
