Wow wannabefree i was just listening to that mp3 you shared
Just hearing the speaker announcing the drama brings back memorys (and makes me tense)
with all of the hype surrounding sparlock ... i didn't see anyone post anything about the sunday drama at the convention.. my husband and i decided that we were only going to attend the sunday of the convention.
we drove down, but got cold feet and we ended up going out for coffee and hitting up the local shopping mall, heading over to the convention for lunch to show our faces, then taking off home for the afternoon.
it was a good day ;).

i did not see a thread on the 6-17-12 wt study article, so i thought i'd put this here.. .
this is just a thought on unquoted references that sheds a little "light" on why they are not sourced.. in paragraph 4 of the lesson it says: 'as one reference work states, it is "the sum total of the interior man.
"' it is referring to what the bible means when it speaks of the figurative heart.
Does the bible say anything about the heart being figurative?
Interestingly I found this site when I searched for figurative heart.
...because i have done that a couple times and won $38!!!
.
Scratch tickets are too much work.
just came across this post, where a disfellowshipped blogger posted the letter from his witness mother in which she cuts off the relationship between them.
although i was the one to slam the door and cut off communication with my viper of a mother, my heart goes out to this guy - it's to their shame that the witnesses allow their religion to do this to family..
The scary part is they really think that they are doing the loving thing by shunning their kids.
Anybody know how I can edit that first blank post?

this topic has been discussed before ... i just wanted to put my two cents in.. i will start off by saying that of course mental illness exists outside of the organization.
I remember the reason they used to give for this was because the religion appeals to those types of people. Basically saying they were the most sheep like people.
At the time this seemed like sound reasoning. How could any right hearted person possibly be happy in this system

Anyway who cares?
I don't particularly care but the WT says that the Borg cares. So why is it OK to break that rule with no consequences? Maybe it is one of those things they put in the WT to protect themselves when something goes wrong.
Puff, The probably don't all do it because they realize that if they start poking around they would lose half the younger generation. Better to keep their blinders on. I ran across a woman who I think was a JW based on a couple of her PMs to me but she posted pictures of her kid blowing out candles on a birthday cake.
Why are sites like that allowed by the jw's? I wonder if it is actually sanctioned by them?
I love how almost all the products get 5 stars. Even if they wrote a bad review they gave it 5 stars.
Any other sites owned by JWs selling stuff for JWs.
I case you are too lazy to watch the video the site is ministryideaz.com
it took me a long time to write this....i'm being brutally honest...i am still a reg pioneer...three sundays ago,i was praying and asking god for a sign or something because i was so confused...i told him exactly what i needed to see for me to believe.i was feeling terrible--crying and feeling sick because i was so confused.ten minutes after, i walked into the kingdom hall and to my surprise--my prayer was answered!
i soooo wasn't expecting it, even though i prayed.
so this is where almighty god wants me to be,ii've reasoned.
Did we ever find out how the prayer was answered?
