Anyone been to Darwin Australia???

we are off to darwin in aug for a wedding, im really looking forward to it other than the whole share accomodation with hubbys fam, but we hired a car so we can atleast escape when it gets to much.. has anyone been, im wondering how hot it will be i will be 6 month preg by that time.. all i know is that for one of the day nights we are heading off to katherine.
any info would be great.

I am jealous! This sounds like a great place to visit.
We have many trips planned for this summer/fall but none are this adventurous.
New York, Panama City, Marco Island, and Phoenix this year.
Maybe we can do down under next year?

Maybe it is the cold damp July weather that suits you guys. Give me a day on the beach in Florida and the bikinis .... England appeals to me for a trip but a steady diet would be depressing.
My wife works for a large American Company that has branch in the UK and the people there woek much longer hours than in the US. They are more uptight and are very arguemenative.

How do you handle extremely rude people in public?
by Virgochik ini'm so upset by two vicious women who came to my work today.
i was helping a man in my line and they tried to cut in front.
i politely explained that as soon as i finished with my customer, i would help them.

Try faking a stomach ache just after taking care of the person you were currently helping and step into the bathroom for a break.
This gives you a minute to deal with them in your mind and gives you a break also. Then they have to get into anothe line etc., to be helped.
I hate it when people show no patients at all.

Rent vs. Buying a house

i have started thinking about buying a house again.
something that drives me nuts is the fact that i can't seem to get a straight answer out of anyone as to whether or not owning a house would be financially better than renting an apartment.. things to take into consideration:how much i pay in rent.how much rent increases each year.how much i pay in renters insurance.how much a mortgage would be.how much pmi or an 80 / xx mortgage would be.how much i would have to take from or borrow from my 401ks and iras for a down payment.how much i will have to pay in penalties for taking money from my 401ks and iras.how much money l will loose by not having that 401k money earning interest.how much maintenance on the property will cost.how much insurance will cost.how much i will be paying in property taxes.how much in "freebies" i will get from the seller (they will pay $xxx in closing costs if i use their mortgage company).other crap i haven't thought of yet.. it seems like everyone i talk to has their own agenda and they all give me different results based on they want me to do so they will get more money from me.

Even with out the tax advantages in the US it is always better to buy. I have bought 19 houses in my life and always made money. The house we are in now $408,000.00 when we bought it 2004, and now they want to list it for $569,000.00.

I am also repulsed somewhat by the attitude of many on this site. I read it almost everyday, but rarely post. Your situation has moved me to post. I am truely sorry that you have these problems. You will get no help from the elders. Meeting with them will only lead to more frustration on your part. They only see your problems with the WTBTS blinders on, if your problems interfere with the preaching work they will by their duties act accordingly.
If you want to stay in the
TRUTH, you should stay away from this site. Much of what is published here will make you change youropenmindedness??My brother is gay and was disfellowshipped many years ago. The elders do not have any training in any areas but the brainwashed
TRUTH. They didn't even try to help him they just kicked him out. Looking back I know they had no choice, by the bylaws and rules.The next thing thet will happen to you and your wife is since you turned in no time for a month you are now inactive and they can take away your Kingdom Ministry and many of your priviliges as a MS. They only know these rules.
If you are truly openminded look into the beginings of the WTBTS as they do in their publications on all issues. There are many sites and information on how the WTBTS began on the internet.
I was involved with the WTBTS for nearly sixty years, and I never could do enough to keep them from looking down their noses at me.
