If you are going to see this pic, and it could be fun, (I really don't think a person's off-screen life should be a big factor unless you are trying to make a political statement) ---then go see it in a big screen theatre, with all of the full crowd.
This is a total popcorn film and is the kind of film that is only fun or interesting seeing it at the theatre with a bunch of audience yelling and getting excited. Seeing it later after the crowds have died out, at a small screen or at home is going to result in a boring experience.

HOW TO MAKE IT HARDER TO HAVE DISTRICT CONVENTIONS
by What-A-Coincidence inwhat if we send all the jw pedophile info to the ones who contract coliseums/sports arenas to the jws?
also send it to the ones who supply paper/ink to the wtbts?
the manufacturers of the new presses?

Greetings!
there is no need to "infiltrate" the Convention using a mock of the badges.
The fact is that many Witnesses do not wear their badges or they were them where they are not seen, so anyone who is dressed appropriately and who looks the part, with normal hair, no facial hair, etc. is not going to singled out. they will be able to walk in with no problems and drop the fake dollars in the contribution boxes too. I bet even Randy W could walk in the convention and not get noticed. (Sorry there is no way for you Danny Hazard :-) not to draw attention)
Having said that, the badges are quite fun. I used a mock one last summer for the DC just for the fun of it and the color was just slightly off but no one noticed.
But it isn't necessary, since so long as you look the part, have the right props and don't say something too outlandish, you would have no problems engaging anyone in conversation - unless they know you of course and know your status.

Greetings!
The bottom line is that it would be extremely unlikely to prevent a DC from happening - when it has happened in the past it was usually the Government that took such action, sometimes due to pressure from religious leaders. That wouldn't happen in the U.S. or many democratic countries.
Part of the question is whether the facility is a public facility or a private facility. If it is a public facility the Government/Local Municipality etc. would be hard pressed to deny JWs the use of the facility if they have allowed the use of it by other groups, or else it would face a valid claim of discrimination/violation of Civil Rights, etc.
A Privately owned facility may have more leeway in picking and choosing who they will rent the facilities to and might be more pursuaded by a campaign.
this statement from the Society's District Convention manual was interesting....
There is no need to talk about the delegates bringing their own food to eat at noon. This can cause local merchants and others to become alerted to matters not their business.
I think that it would be a surprise to the surrounding merchants, including the Hotels from the hotel list, to learn that the Society considers it none of their business that the thousands of delegates have been officially instructed to ignore them and bring their own lunch.
Whether such merchants have any influence over the facility owner is a question.

Do you think that the WTS is going to "collapse" and there will be no JW's?
by booker-t indo you think that there will come a time when the wts will be a thing of the past and people will look into their history books and say "oh yeah those jw's were around for over 120 years and now they are no longer around today in the year 20___?
" my friend thinks that jw's will not collapse and will probably get "stronger" with time.
i hope not because i am just sick of the whole wts and jw's religion.

PS: AuldSoul, can you name one religion that has been litigated out of existence?
Litigation is only a minor tool for change and can only, at best, help evoke some changes in policies, practices, and perhaps eventually doctrines. Litigation will never take down the Society - it won't even make a dent.

No -- to the question.
(I won't bother to elaborate at this point why.)
my only comment is with regard to your comments in your post. if you don't have a vested interest and all that bothers you is the "my way of the highway" attitude about them, it seems funny that you would spend your time having anything to do with them including posting on a forum dedicated to discussing them.
There are thousands of religions and groups that have the same or similar enough attitude of propriety and claim of specialness. As for myself, I don't go around thinking, "God those Theosophists are soooo wrong! Boy they annoy me" (or whatever) and then waste valuable time posting about the group online. It seems silly that you would do something like that when it comes to JWs.

How about poor pronoun choice/bad writing by the author/writers?
What if that was the case, that it was a mistake to write it that way.It seems pointless to me to base one's entire theology upon the turn of a word, phrase, or scripture. One needs to look at the big picture.
The fact is that, even if one accepts the notion that the Bible is inspired, it is so flawed and full of errors that to base theological conclusions upon any one or few particular scriptures seems to be mere folly.
Looking at the big picture, I do not see that Holy Spirit is anything more than God's power, his active force as JWs say. That understanding seems to be more compatible with the entire body of the Holy Scriptures than the idea that it is a person.
