  something that bothered me even when i was a watchtower company drone was the thought of dying and being resurrected in paradise.

  would the resurrected person really be me or just a copy of me?

  if god could recreate one of me, he could also recreate five of me.

  Let's talk about Blood again....

  i know we have all talked about this topic before, but for some new ones on the forum, or to refresh ourselves, i wanted to start this thread.. the society likes to go on about the sacredness of blood, and how it should not be transfused etc.. they liken it to a symbol of life itself.

  something that should be respected and therefore not transfused.. but, what is more important: real life, or a symbol of life?.

  an illustration came to mind.. if we give a bunch of flowers to a loved one as a symbol of our love for them, are those flowers more important than the love itself?

  Blood was considered sacred in the Bible as long as it meant the death of the animal or person. For the blood of an animal to be sacred and could atone sin it was required that the animal was killed. It was not enough to extract some blood from a bull or a sheep without killing them. If the animal was not killed it had no sacred value for the atonement. Therefore the donated blood used for a transfusion is not sacred because the person who donates it does not sacrifice its life.

  I'm not affiliated with any religious groups, but I consider myself what some people call a Preterist. Basically, I believe that the Bible prophecies that other religious groups are waiting to be fulfilled in the future were fulfilled at AD 70. The only thing that is in the future is when we will receive our spiritual body when we die. This is what I believe now in a nutshell.

  i have seen a few comments about the nwt being an altered version of the bible and i must admit that when they released the new one it did not sit right with me.. i want to read the bible but not the nwt.

  i also do not want to read one that has the thee and thou and ye etc because that will do my head in.. what translations do you recommend?.

  for example, i once had a sister tell me i was gambling because i liked playing skill crane (the machine where you have to try to pick up prizes like stuffed animals) at the arcade.

  A CO told my wife and me that we should think about giving up our autistic son to the state because eventually looking after him would wear us down and would affect our service to Jehovah. I had not woken up yet so I only told him that as long as there was blood running in my veins he would be with us. WHAT A JERK!!!

  Great Tribulation and Trump

  please, let's discuss this subject without attacking one another.. it appears that trump has won a victory that no one expected.

  is it possible that trump may play a part in the great tribulation?.

  there are some who believe trump is one of the most unqualified of men to ever be elected president of the united states.

  The great tribulation foretold in Mathew 24 had its fulfillment in 70AD when Rome destroyed Jerusalem. No such thing as a double fulfillment. It happened already and won't happen again. Those words from Jesus Christ were told to the first Century Jews.
