You questioned her professional status by bringing up offline personal information. Kinda like if I said I looked up your address in the phone book and it wasn't what you insinuated it to be. I know that is a stretch from the orignial topic, but the only analogy I can think of now. As far as her comments on dusting off her notes, I assumed that she said that to lighten the mood. After you brought up the personal info which was incorrect, she felt violated and decided not to play anymore...which is what I would do as well. Since that time you have continued to want to play in several threads, I think Tina and Julie would follow up if it was worthy of their time, or something they would want to do. Just my opinion of course

Anyone been sent a virus by EMail recently?

i got a virus (worm_badtrans.b) sent to me from < [email protected]> (which looks like a spoofed email addy); i was wondering whether anyone else had got it sent to them, or whether someone was selecting me specially (awwww, how sweet), as it was sent to my [email protected] address which i use almost exclusively here.. ah, the joys of automatically updated virus scanners.... .

My sister was sent that one as well, it was running rampant in the JW community. She is on the "good" list and it seems they all have it now. Perhaps someone decided to share the wealth?

As far as viruses I had 2 in the last few months, but nothing awful happened that I am aware of. Smoldering Wick, and Mulanwow! that is awful, I know Vennie had a real problem last year as well. As Nelly said go to the site she listed, it helped me to find mine, do a full scan though it takes longer but that is where mine were hidden. Good luck

I also recieved an email the other day that was 40k but when I opened it there was nothing inside, so I am sure that I have another, just waiting on the updates to pick it up. <sigh>

First let me give ya a (((((hug)))) for your honesty. I love it! Fake it until you make it? Haha I did the same thing, and it works! It seems as if my whole family are negative people who need to place the blame on everyone else and are unable to accept any responsibility for their own actions. I had a moment the other day, it wasn't an "aha" moment but a deep fear. I wondered if I was just like them. Thankfully I was able to see that since I am always right, I am nothing like them, because they are always wrong <Joke> I realized that is how we become better people, seeing others weaknesses and deciding not to be that way. It is difficult when we are surrounded by them, and a break away from them is usually in order.

Completely breaking off a relationship has to be determined on an individual basis. I know there are many I love that have weaknesses, or quirks I do not like, yet I accept them anyway. On the other hand there are those who I have written off, and feel healthier for doing so. Case in point my grandma was a very controlling woman, yet we all loved her and accepted her as she was. If there was a family gathering we knew it would end with her mad, and all of us in turmoil. But despite this she had so many good qualities that it was worthwhile to maintain a realtionship with her. The way I saw it was, she was an older woman, set in her ways and wasn't going to make any changes so it was a take it or leave it scenario. I am sooooo thankful I was able to put up with the BS she dished out, because I learned much from her.

i normally do not comment on this type of subject, yet i have just been informed there may be child abuse involved for her two children at the hands of a fellow jw.

i will investigate to find the facts, yet if this were true this family has lost much in the "spiritual paradise.

Amazing! How sad for her kids to be without a mom now I guess my question would be from a medical standpoint is, Who was marked as her emergency contact? In most cases it is your nearest relative or spouse, even if a POA is in anothers name. If her hubby was listed then there was no reason the hospital could not have called him sooner.

So glad the "sister" was on her toes and thought to call the elders first (vomiting on that) I don't even want to think what a wonderful experience this will make for an assembly part, rallying the troops. Sickening!
