Circuit Assembly Confronting Apostate Challenge
by watson inwell, i sat thru day 2 of the latest circuit assembly.
instead of having the co or do re address the "generation" confusion, they had a couple of brothers do a demonstration.
mocha break out in service, weaker brother mentions he's tired....all of the changes lately, the confusing new understanding of that generation, et al.

in regards to getting a copy here in the states the sound dept makes an official cong recording of the assemblies and conventions. You may borrow it for one week. A while after the assembly the elders are instructed to destroy it. At least that was the policy 6 months ago.

I had a conversation with Daniel Sydlik about his time in writing & he admitted to writing articles about family life and marriage when he was single. He said he remembers another Bethelite storming into his office after proofreading his article and the guy saying to him "Dan is this your doing? You will pay one day for writing this." Sydlik said he did pay after getting married. He admitted going into marriage believing his views were corect and realized all the things he had written on the subject were completely off and left him unprepared for marriage. By this time he was no longer in the writing dept.

I get annoyed when I see little groups like Warren Jeffs getting attn.
There isn't enough interest outside the JW or ex JW community to get the attn the Catholics got.
Maybe if some big wig gets annoyed that the WT is making all this money tax free and is a pedophile paradise may help get some real scrutiny of the WTB$. -

Does anybody still believe in God and the Bible?
by tornapart ini just want to know out of interest how many here still believe in god and christ and that the bible is god's word.
my faith in the wts is gone but i still love god and his son.
i've noticed that many here have lost their faith in god as well as the wts.

Reading my earlier posts on this site make me bust out laughing. When I first broke free from the WT I went running towards being a saved Christian.
I do love and appreciate my christian friends but I no longer see things the way they do. Now this video sums up my feelings about the Bible. -

Received a very heart felt phone call tonite over the Df Watchtower article
by troubled mind intonight one of my sons called me just to say ," mom i love you !
" .. he told me that this weekend he had read a thread posted by kyria about the new watchtower on shunning df'd relatives ,and that it had really made him sad .
he said, " mom, i am so glad we are all out of the jehovah's witnesses ....i just don't think i could of stood it to think you guys not talking to me ...it really upsets me .

I know how hard it was to make a decision to leave the borg. Your story is encouraging. I hope I'll be able to say the same thing. My husband is still in and it hasn't been easy. Our relationship has been on quite a rollercoaster. My children are young and as things are I do not worry about them becoming JW's even though he takes them to meetings. My husband & I have had a breakthrough. He will not consider anything I've had to say (yet) but we are drawing so close to each other. I hope to be able to have a story like yours.

Lyman Swingle (deceased) has step children who have kids ( don't remember how many) one of which he helped raised ( I don't know how long)
Albert Schroeder (deceased) raised a son.
