Hello From Texas Aposto-Craw-Fest
by COMF ina note from the group, to tell you we had a great meal and a great visit for three hours until the restaurant people came and asked us if we would give up the table for another group.
so we adjourned to my place and have been talking and laughing ever since.
just called for pizza and decided to let you all know what you're missing!

You're right Valis, we needed your conservative stance and influence at said function, it might possibly have prevented my eyes from seeing Jerry give us his impression of the birthday suit!
Some male apostates even asked if they could take some crawfish home with them, but were informed that they probably won't look as pretty in the morning. Ohhh the humanity!
Keep us updated on your shin-dig.... -

It's about freakin' time. I'm glad to see that stereotypes, ignorance, and "reefer madness" have begun to fall to the wayside of science. Thanks for the post ThiChi...just made my day! Two thumbs up.

Celebrity Boxing anyone?
by Mozzer4Life ini was wondering who might have caught the celebrity boxing match on the fox network last night, and what you thought about it?
i saw it, and have to say i enjoyed it, as sickening as it was to me.
reality tv has reached a new low in my book, but the low happens to be disturbingly funny.

Oops, not the Brady Bunch dad, I meant Greg, the oldest son...however, they do kinda look alike, strage.

I thought it might be fake like Pro Wrestling, but these guys and girls were throwing some serious blows, as infrequent as they may have been. Danny Bona "douche-bag" duce VS. the Brady Bunch dad...that was too creepy. Danny threw some blows that could of made Greg cry. Then Tonya "the Honeymoon tape" Harding VS. Paula "nose-job" Jones...well, I have never seen anyone turn there heads and run away like Paula did, but with the ice rink bully Harding on her tail, or shin, I would have run away too. To finish this travisty of entertainment...Todd "watcha talkin bout Willis" Bridges VS. Vanilla "word to ya' Hairstylist" Ice. It was kinda sad to see Vanilla Ice go down so quickly and eventually lose, but he is used to that I guess. You gotta love him though.
All in all, it was funny as shyte, but left me with a strange feeling. I can't believe I actually like that stuff, I guess TV's newest drug is quite enjoyable, but the hangover makes you question if you'd do it again. Maybe just on the weekends!

Would definately be in. Missed the last Apostafest at Valis' pad, so this sounds great. Besides, I'd never pass up the chance to get a little crawfish head!

My Grandmother

It does sound like your Grandma does have a pretty good reason for seeing only the negative side of life. It sounds like her spirit was broken along time ago, and never quite recovered. But Andi, you've been thru alot of crap yourself, and still remain one of the most positive people I know.
Negative people, yea, they suck to be around...take my friend Mark for instance, any going-out suggestion I give, he'll sure find something wrong with it. If I suggest going outside to hang, he'll complain that the cops might come by, if I suggest a bar, he'll complain that large women always bump into him while we're there. You can't win. I just try to be a positive person while around him, show him there is good in all, but more and more it seems to be a fledgling attempt. I try to pass off my positive energy to him, but when I see that I am absorbing his negative energy, it's best to leave.

Well, it would have to be Rushmore . A quirky comedy, with excellent acting and a great script. This is one of my favorite movies, but hardly anyone has seen it! Another overlooked movie I feel is Dog Day Afternoon starring Al Pacino. Not your typical bank robbing movie. It was made in 1975, a great year to be born I might add. This movie looks like it was done in the 70's, but deals with a pretty controversial subject, homosexuality. Interesting to see Al Pacino play such a unique character.
