  Interesting topic. I can bet it won't be laying off lawyers ... that may be the only dept that will actually increase at WTS for awhile!

  I could easily see the WT or Alseep being reduced to once a month. Outsource printing and sell off some Brooklyn prop would be a huge cash infusion, which might float them for awhile. Or rent out all the unused space they have in many of their buildings. Fark's right though, you'd have to pry the Patterson resort from their cold dead fingers before they give that up!

  Maybe once a month lit shipments? Maybe making US people drive to NY and pick up their own lit?

  Back to the top - it's about time that individual's begin to use their 'bible trained' consciences to stand up for what they know in their hearts is right and good. Regardless on how other men would try and force them to believe. By not standing up 'for the least of the brothers (and sisters)' they are spitting in the face of Jesus words and teachings. Will all those who are aware of the true nature and deeds of many of the people in power in the JW organization continue to sweep such wrong-doings under the carpet?

  CNN show viewed as Persecution by JW

  i was telling the guys this morning here a work about the cnn show and how in the mind of jw all this public attention for so many of them is often viewed as bible prophecy being fulfilled in their behalf.

  i dare say that in a typical congo of 120 publishers only 4or 5 if that will stop and consider what all this means.

  so one of the guys asked how is that possible with all this stuff going on.i explained to him he needs to understand the indoctrination process for the avg jw.

  The reason celebs who are JWs are publicised is because JWs are a wacky cult. Just like the celebs who are L Ron Hubbards, ooops, Scientologists. We all know who they are too since the Sci guys are so very wacko too.

  we were discussing stuff and things when he made a remark that took me off guard.

  Friday night mayhem with the "brothers"

  i dont know whether ive posted on this before, but when i was a young guy we used to get up to some fearfull mayhem on friday and saturday nights.

  we burnt down buildings, blew cars up, shotgunned houses and blasted windows out while people slept inside, stole cars and piled them into telegraph poles, and ran cars off the road just for laughs.

  now the thing is, while we were doing this...we were all active dubs!.

  I think that while not the 'norm' this type of behavour was not entirely uncommon either. I can say I had a few of my own share of vandalizing acts, nothing along the lines of setting fires, etc. But firework destruction, shooting frogs w/ BB guns, etc. I knew of several other people in our area (older than me, not my crowd at the time) who were quite into very destructive acts. Strangely enough, one of the young fellows shot himself with a shotgun not too long after that - while on the phone w/ someone. Survived too, thankfully, but he was/probably is still a very messed up person. Looking back on it I realize I've known some very messed up people in my life,several suicides and attempted suicides. the funny thing is you seem to tend to dismiss it when you are a JW - usually rationalizing "They were weak anyway". Sad, sad, sad.
