I never experienced this because both my parents passed prior to my learning TTATT. That given, I cannot imagine my parents abandoning me. I doubt the would - At least that is what I hope.

Why Do Witnesses Promote A Unhealthy Lifestyle, My COBE weighs 340lbs (5ft 7in).
by BucketShopBill inplease don't take this the wrong way if your battling weight problems, that's not what this thread is meant to talk about.
i am asking this question because jehovah's witnesses claim they have "the best way of life", "god's blessing", "the truth" and are trying to change the habits of healthy people by turning them in to their own makings.
i watched people who were great athletes turn all their muscle in to fat because we would get a elder or circuit overseer make remarks they were spending too much time "working out" and "bodily training is beneficial for little".

There is something wrong with a group where the skinny guy is 340 lbs.
COBE weighs 340lbs, he's super hateful towards sisters who are overweight and even make's fun of people fatter than him.

It works now. But I suspect that they have no idea how hard it is to maintain a website.

I am not surprised. Anyone that dies prior to the GT has a hope of the resurrection (think of all those fortunate people who dies at 9/11). So, does this mean that publishers should have a watchtower and a gun when they go out in service?

I never quite understood how the society interchanges the GT with Armageddon.

just what am I supposed to believe now??
by purrpurr inwhile i'm glad i found this site, it has also crumbled to bits everything i've believed in my whole life.
i feel like the certainty, magic and wonder has gone out of my life.
this has left a huge hole in my soul.

Also, remember you don't really have to believe in anything. You are at a great starting point in your journey. The goal of this journey does not have to be figuring out what to believe in, it can be what ever you want it to be.
Good luck.

The "Preaching" Work As A Dead Parrot
by metatron inhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/dead_parrot_sketch.
inspired by a car salesman.
as with john cleese's apoplectic performance, there is never any admission that the "preaching" work, door to door in particular, is dead and has been for some time.

I meant to say 70-80 percent of the Witnesses are brought in by auxiliary service
I suspect that any increase that we see related to the born in. The only exception is less developed countries. The problem with growth in these areas is that they require resources. As we know the society is trying to cut costs, which is hard when the only recruits interested in the message have no monetary advantage to offer.

purrpurr, "what am I supposed to believe now?" I have been there, done that, and bought the t shirt.
So where do we go from here is the eternal question, and one that is thrown out to you as a challenge. Keep in mind the Watchtower hopes you don't take the challenge.
But the answer to where do you go from here is - anywhere you want to. You have found a freedom that very few people enjoy. Take advantage of this freedom and explore without committing. I can assure you that within a few years you have found your purpose that will sustain you for many years.

Met, power = money and money = power. But in the end it is all about power. I am reading for the umpthing time The Fountainhead; our conversation has forced me to recount multiple times the Ellsworth Toohey speech to Peter Keating about how to rule the souls of people.

If you don't see this as the playbook of the GB, I don't know what is.
