Interesting Quote....
by TallTexan ini ran across the following quote in tom clancy's "rainbow six" and thought it interesting...druids had been pagans...and to which human lives had been sacrificed.
that had doubtless been a measure exercised by the priesthood to maintain their control over the peasants...and the nobility too, in fact, as all religions tended to do.
in return for offering some hope and certainty for the greatest mysteries of life - what happened after death, whty the rain fell when it did, how the world had come to be - they extracted their price of earthly power, which was to tell everyone how to live.

What they are not saying is that, we're going to move to a different economy than the economy of petrol, sooner or later as the price of this ressource become higher. There's a lot we can do to reduce our consommation of petrol but presently, we don't really care about it because it's still easy to get gas in our car, at a fairly low price. By example, we could possibly extract biodiesel from a fast growing algae: http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/05/25/1838201&mode=thread&tid=126&tid=134 and there's more about alternative energy here: http://www.geet.com/ ... I don't say that the transition will be easy, but it will come naturally when it won't be economically viable anymore to use petrol.

More UFO Boldness
by metatron ini have not seen any attempted 'debunking' of this shocking incident - or the belgian triangle many years ago.. the recent incident involving the mexican air force showed publically how contrary explanations are failing, as various.
'experts' suggested ball lightning, weather balloons, and anything else they could think of.
much the same happened.

Yeah, fish-keeping can be a really nice hobby. Personnaly, a keep a "harem" of 3 dwarf cichlid. The male seem to be happy with its 2 female. I also have a small fellowship of corydoras, these guys are so cute. Finally, I have a shoal of 10 neons tetra, they are splendids

As a lot of ex-jw out there, I believed completly in the Watchtower doctrine, when I was a child. I always had this fear that Jehovah would not permit me to enter into the paradise because I wasn't baptized. Finally, I faded out of the org, with my parent, whitout ever being baptized and I'm glad of it. When I was a child, I was sure that this "old system of things" would not make it into the twenty-first century. I was even afraid of the thunderstorms, because it reminded me of those disturbing images, in the Watchtower publications.
