  "The Note"

  at the 1994 district convention in bismark, north dakota, (could possibly have been 93) my sister wrote a note to her friend and tossed it in the garbage.

  the note contained a discussion about going to boy's hotel rooms after the sessions ended, and other troublesome activities, including lying to the parents about what my sister and her friend were doing.. presumably, an attendant found this note in the garbage and turned it into the elders.

  on the last talk of the last day of the convention, the note was read out loud to the entire audience, along with the warning that "whoever you are, we will find you.

  it never ceases to amaze me that in my 30+ years of sitting in those cheep plastic chairs, how much i missed, took for granted or just plain didn't care.

  i took advantage of my time this morning to look over a couple aticles published by the borg, that relate to sites like this and countless others.

  {this one being the best of course, imho} .

  just back from "worldly" funeral of close relative!

  !to make it short i was upset about the fact that all the years as jw seen him probably 3 times over period of 15 yrs!

  !me and my wife got into a heated discussion about how wtbts deals with association with "worldly" relatives!

  Blood Issue Discussed on Radio!!!!!

  was listening to the radio today on the internet, a station out of ther midwest.the subject came up about the infant who had surgery without blood.the talk show host raised the question about transplants and jws and the blood issue!

  !a caller called in and it was a jw.he cited the scripture at acts, yada yada and mentioned that transplants were ok.but the host put the question to him about the transplant having blood in it.he fumbled around and said well they, like the meat we eat, probably drained all the blkood out first before transplanting the organ.the host replied they couldn't do that in order to have the transplant to be successful!!

  )then he said maybe they put in formaldehyde before transplanting!!doh!!!!!!!!!

  i wonder how many witnesses will, on march 16th.

  (a) wearing a red nose to the meeting / ministry work.. (b) fastening a red nose to the grill of the family car.. (c) telling jokes for charity.. (d) rushing to the phone with their credit card details as the bbc raise millions for africa.. (e) doing anything consructively beneficial for africa at all.. (f) tut-tut at how dreadful this wicked old world has become.. please support comic relief!
