A win win for Watchtower.
does anyone feel the same way?
i am not anti-video, just feeling overload.
since the jw organization started video production there has been such a flood of it that no one can, or possibly even wants to keep up with it all: some thoughts and questions i"ve had -.

i like to take a peek at the kids over on reddit every week or so.. this thread caught my eye:" curious….
do any ex jw or pimo, still believe the world is ending.
i see people who have never been witnesses think that the world will end soon and they say things like “jesus is coming soon”….
The OP asks how many of us STILL believe that we are living in the last days. Of those who responded, I carefully read each answer and came up with the following:
8 believe in the second coming of Christ. Of those, no one seems to be sure whether or not we are in the "Last Days"
2 were vague if they are believers or not.
8 appear to have put belief in "End Times" behind.
It's interesting there is such an even split between leaving Watchtower behind and leaving religious belief behind. It is also Very interesting to me how many believers disagree with each other about how, when, where Jesus returns, etc. It seems as though about 1/2 of the believers think the other 1/2 are wrong.
🤦♀️this 25 million different languages thing is getting ridiculous.
this link is hilarious!
they've only gone and translated into jamaican patois and boy this isn't just translation, they're literally using slang....what next?
Many years ago my relative sent for an Awake magazine in Pidgin English and showed it to me. It was hilarious!
I wish i could remember some of the phrases.
i know most people here are totally out and that’s fine.. many these days are staying physically in for the social life and that is also fine.. i feel being fully mentally in is dangerous as it could be such a shock mentally if or should i say when the tower collapsed.. im sitting in the fence like so many others here.
mentally agnostic if god exists or not and if the bible is his word.. when i talk to people who are physically and mentally still in i can tell that they so need it to be true.
i’m worried for them when they wake up to the fact that they have been lied to 1914 wasn’t true 1975 wasn’t true 1999 wasn’t true and now here we are 2025 it’s all not true.
The only truly happy still in JWs I know are what a friend and I call "Jet Set" witnesses.
They several things in common:
#1 They have plenty of money. They inherited it or ignored the endless counsel to "put Kingdom interests first" during their earning years.
#2 They are fun-loving. No Debbie Downers allowed.
#3 They ONLY travel, party, and closely associate with people who keep their MOUTHS SHUT about "questionable conduct" within the group.
#4 They are in reasonably good or better health.

ah, yes, another shining example of the watchtower’s *unmatched* commitment to rational thought.
forget logic, science, or even basic common sense—just blame that suspiciously cursed handbag for all your troubles!
When I was waking up my bookbag shouted out to me: STOP GOING OUT IN FIELD SERVICE!
So i threw my bookbag away and quit going to meetings.
hi to all, i have been away from the organization since the 1980's and as it seems, i haven't missed a thing.
i have seen a deterioration take place that is continually getting more dramatic than i have ever seen.
the thumbing down or the minimizing of spiritual food is reason enough that people are starving for something good.
Calling your sister "my mother's daughter" says a lot to me.
Yes, the WTBTS has changed a lot yet, I ask, WHEN were they ever "The Truth?" My family on both sides were believers starting with International Bible Students all the way to the present. What Year/s did they ever get it right? Did those strict beliefs make them better Christians? Or better people for that matter?
The answer is obviously no and in some cases it made them withdraw from their humanity. In every case they judge others. Even though I miss some of them they haven't missed me.
i would like to start a thread on lies that the watchtower and their reps have told.
surely we all have one or two that truly sticks out in our memories, no matter how much we would like to forget.
my favorite wt lie: the reason they don't want to release the name of the "scholars" who worked on the new world translation is because they do not want to accept "glory and honor" from others.
In my book the most ridiculous lies were told by JF Rutherfraud:
Black people will turn white when they reach perfection in the new world. AND
Women will become men when the earth is filled.
my only prowess in making predictions stems from my 77-years of life in the united statesgrowing up under president truman, eisenhower, kennedy, nixon, .....etc.
etc.i was a widdle kid sitting in front of a tiny black and white tv set when the very first broadcastsof political conventions, deal-making, debates (nixon vs kennedy), assassinations (jfk, rfk, martin luther king, etc.
) i grew up with duck and cover under my elementary schooldesk, the cold war, the iron curtain, the korean war, the vietnam war and i went to federal prisonas a jw conscientious objector while hippies, flower children, political activists protested and universitystudents were fired up on by troops.i grew up reading newspapers (2 of them).
Doc,
Trump issuing Executive decisions from Rikers? LOL
He will Pardon himself
the seniors in our family were scammed by watchtower, for over 7 figures.
an interesting read today to give some insight.. one of the most egregious con-artists is watchtower bible and tract society the “legal” entity for jehovah’s witnesses.
many retired jehovah’s witnesses have been targeted over the years to “loan” money for various “special projects” to further the “preaching work”, only to find they are never to be repaid.
It is LYING to call these loans when Watchtower had no intention of ever paying them back.
Who does the Bible call the "Father of the Lie" ?
some sources cite that the word or concept of hell appears 167 times in the old and new testament.
jesus spoke about hell more than anyone else.
how can such consistent warnings by many different writers over 1600 years all be parables?
If a person uses the Bible as the Basis for his/her beliefs or simply regards it as 66 really old books with little value other than a little history, Vanderhoven is 100% correct.
