i'll be writing it in several parts, and in fact i don't actually know how many parts there'll be yet.
I love to read and this is great. The story already has me intriged and thinking of how u will play it out. Looking forward to part 2. btw-hector sure"lost his religion" quickly. lol
I have never been hypnotized, but am considering it for chronic pain.
BTW, what does JWD stand for? I know it jehovah's Witnesses, but what does the D stand for?

oh now come on..........this forum is seriously losing credibilty..............are you seriously accusing 5 members on the governing body of child abuse?.....ok, many of you had bad experiences with the jw faith and i don't mean to be-little that, but how far will some of you go?
sometimes i wonder if your motives are quite right, you know this echos much of what i felt about how some jumped on the franz/bowen bandwagon in the last few days, from what i read bill bowen seemed to be adulated here, then bam!
he stepped onto ray franz ' turf.....and all hell broke loose.
I so not know anything about those accusations, but i do know i have my own personal experience. I was raped and told not to report it to the police. The brother walked away scott free, raped again and then they got himD/F him and reinstated him.. he then moved and no one was ever told of his past. Who knows what this man has done since. So, i know Bill is not spouting total BS.

TY valis. I just heard this on the pm news and then find it here. I went to microsoft.com and found the patch and installed it.
Interesting, the news person said it would allow anyone to control your computer by remote. My son just installed a remote program on our computer so he (a computer programer) could fix annoying problems without actually leaving his home. It is so odd to see the mouse moving when u are not actually doing it yourself. wednesday

As one who has been victimized by the WTS, Bill is not blowing into the wind. he speaks truth about child molestation.
If we are not careful we will implode -the WTS won't , they will get total agreement or else. Don't agree with their tactics but they wont' be imploding.
there is a growing concern that silentlambs is dealing with two mutually exclusive issues.
the hypocrisy of the wtbts is one issue and protecting children is the other.
additionaly there is criticism of bill bowen's, at times, "down home" approach to dealing with the wtbts.
i wonder why anyone was surjprised at WTS reaction to Bill. did anyone really expect them to come out and say "Bro. we have sinned-u are right". Only when this has a finanical inpact on the WTS will they change any policy regarding anything. As I said once in the other thread about this, this child victimization will only stop when it costs the wts money. they won't change a thing until then. I am in late 40's and have been in/around jw all my life. never saw them change anything that didn't in some way benefit them . I also pointed out that i wouldn't be expecting God to bring them down anytime soon. He hasn't brought the catholic church down-or anyone else. We need legal action against the society. Money talks, BS walks.Money is what they understand. Bill needs help getting the message to the press more. The press can bring them down-we have all seen that happen .Legal action can bring change their policys.
in a congregation some years ago, the elders had a major issue to deal with.
a transexxual woman became interested in studying the bible with the witnesses.
she was invited to go to the meetings.

how did they get married legally? As far as i know-it is not legal for 2 same sex persons to marry legally anywhere. I am assming that if a person had an offfical operation change and became a woman they could then marry legally. What right would the WTS have to tell them they could not?

first off, let me express that bill bowen would not know me from any stranger on the street.
i have never spoken with him, or have i ever corresponded with him.
the only information that i have of him is what i have read of him on this forum and on silentlambs.org.
One thing i have learned-don't put your trust in a manmade org. and don't expect God to personally intervene. I used to think both of these things-JW thinking. God helps those who help themselfs. Those chid victimization cases will be won one case at a time in the courts. By using the reasoning that if God is behind it it will suceed-well so far the WTS is winning. Does that mean God is backing them? I hope not.But b/c the wts is so sincerly interested in saving their royal butts, perhaps battles in the courts will bring some change in the way elders handle these cases-just for fear of being sued.Money talks BS walks.
It will be won one case at a time in the streets and don't expect the org to be overthrown. God i not overthrowing all other evil religions-why should he single out WTS.

this has been a most dreadful 2 weeks for me.
my mother, a faithful jw, finally died after a long illness.i had been by her side all the way., my brother& wife , the jw ,rarely made an apperance-but showed up at last minute to make sure he got her jewelry.
he rarely showed up because i am not active so not considered good association.also he had no close feelings for her.

Speaking as a mother, not a day has gone by in my life that my children(and now grandchildrren) have not been on my mind. I became a mother at 17 so i was not too prepared. My olderst son and i are more like brother and sister age wise,-but we are close. I drove my kids crazy talking to them-and giving them advice. They woudl always say'Your such a mom".But they know i'm here, and my oldest son will still sit crossleg on the floor and tell his troubles to me. Once u are a paretn-u are forever. U will always be mom, and in some way they will aways need u. I still need my mom. she was 80, but i still needed her. But the harderst part of being a parent is knnowing when to let go.I have to watch my son agonizee now over whether to go to iraq and defend his way of life or stay and raise his children. I of course want him to stay. But i raised a caring human being-and i will continute to give him input-because this is a big decision-but he is a man and i will have to deal wijth whatever decision he makes. i don't think i slept a night while he was in Kosovo.
One thing i always remember to do is say "I love u " alot. When i screw up-i ask them to forgive me. In return-i have kids that say"i love u" and please forgive me".
Tonight i am still up crying about my mom.But i know i must grieve. She wasn't just an old woman, she had a life and did many good things.Her life had value and she helped ojther people.I hope that when i am 80 someone at a nursing home will say"and from MRS. x i have learned gratefulness". My mother learned to be grateful in whatever circumstances she was in. .
