This happened in my 20's. I was driving my little compact car in a residential area. I had all my cleaning supplies in back seat, b/c i cleaned houses at that time(like many Jws)I had the a tape in and was blasting janis joplin, and singing my heart out. I did not notive i was going about 60 in a residential area. I did not notice a police officer following me. Finally , the officer got my attention andi stopped. he was laughing so hard, and said, he really hated to have to give me a ticket,b/c i looked like i was having so much fun. I was so embarassed. Didn't do any more concerts for a while.

Nervous Priest sipping Vodka

Elders want letter from my daughter!

it didn't work out and 2 years later they divorced.. now it's 6 years later, (after the divorce), and my daughter never got baptized.
her ex-husband did and is engaged to another dub.

this happended to a JW family member of mine. the spouse left, and would not aknowledge adultry. so my family member, and the new jw love interest, staked out the x spouses house an got pic of a a person of the oppsite sex coming out of house. Then my family member was able to get a divorce. amd remarry the love interest jw.

I am nealy 50, and have been a JW all my life. I was a fringe JW howver, so at least i'm not totally screwed up. I have spent so many years punishing myself for not being a good jw, for not going to the meeting any longer. I know that will end at some point, and this board has gone a long way, along with slient lambs to that end. So, i'll heal to a degree, but my hubby is a jw, and i dont' see him totally leaving, and a few relatives are still in, so i son't see me ever truly free from it.
As Mulan said, it is a part of who i am, and all was not bad. So i hope to carry the good from it, and leave the bitterness and hate i feel toward them now, behind.

My mother (coldhearted JW she is)

I dearly love my grand kids, but can only stand so much time with them. They are quit a handfull. It takes both my hubby and i to sit for them. I use videos too, it is the only time they will sit quietly.
Part of the reason i can;'t sit all the time, i have ongoing helath problems and i don't have the strength to keep up with these two active kids.
I love them more than my life, and would do anyhting for them, but have to set some limits on the amout of time we babysit.
Not all grandparents want to babysit all the time. Some still have a life.
Setting limits does not mean grandma does not love her kids. It could mena she still has a life and needs to set limits.

Help !! How can I stop my stepson stealing

I stole as a chid and my mom caught me an made me return the item. All it did was make me resolve to be a lot more careful next time. eventually they took me to a child shrink, and he said i was reacting to lack of love toward me. Now, in my case , ths was absolutely true. The more thay told me i was bad, th more determined i was to do it. Maybe your child has had some major upheavels in his life -divorced paretns? etc. they told my paretns stealing was a cry or help, and also, a way of showing hatred toward the person they are stealing from(such as stelaing from a relative).

i wanted to leave but the elders would not let me drift away because i knew to many people who were jw's, they told me to either come to every meeting for a month, or they would da me, so i missed the next meeting and they anounced that i was da'd.
the sad thing is that no jw ever knew what happened they all thought that i da'd myself even my sister, but oh well!!!!

they probably violated your rights of privacy by annoucing where u work. If u have money-i might pay a visit ot local atty. and have him draft a letter telling them to cesse and desist.
this is probalby the biggest thing that has happen to them in a long time-wow and apostate in their territory!!

Some of those guys in ARK are not too bright, perhaps inbreeding. U are so nice to have even showed up to the KH-u certainly did not have to do that and to have them tell u to get out-boy , those guys are on some power trip. I hope this does not cause problems for u at work. a long time ago, i was DF and there were JW were i worked . They spread it around i had been "kicked out of my church" and i actually was let go, i believe as a direct result. The people i worked for were appaled that a person was kicked out of a church and thought i must be really evil. don't let these apes give u trouble. u soudn pretty confident , i wish i xould have seen the look on their faces when u asked about glutonney. What business is it of theris if u smoke? Do they think they rule the world? it's not like u are attending the meeting.
