New rules from WTS to restrict use of internet?
by Nowfree ini know of a presiding overseer who has recently got rid of the modem and internet connections on his pc.
the reason given was that he didnt use it enough to make the monthly expense worthwhile.. but i wonder?.
have there been any local needs items or talks recently about whether it is wise to use the internet?.

CANADA DAY vs. INDEPENDENCE DAY!

i was coming home this evening from some ex-witness friends of mine (after part-y-ing), and i had the windows on my car down, playing one of elvis' tapes..........i was stopped at the stop light and i noticed several people sitting on the street giving me dirty looks and i couldn't figure out why at first.......then it dawned on me: they were waiting to see the canada day parade and i was playing "dixie" on my car cd.........(hehehehehehehehe........) i guess not a smart thing to do........ the parade sucked dead rocks and i was just wondering if it was only in my locale, or if other canadians also experienced a crap-o-rama parade.........seeing as this is the first july 4th party since 9-11, i assume that americans will be going all-out in their display of patriotism (i can't blame em) and i wanted to see what others had to say about their country's celebration.......hell up here, all the stores, malls, everything closes up like a ghost town - nothing's open on canada day............

Mary we are one nation the north american continent, Canada celebrates the 1st of July and our neighbours the4th, ju st get a grip, okay. We live for each other and we could perhaps die for each other any day any time. September 11th drew us closer as two great nations and the world has seen our countries pull together as one. We have much to br proud of. And to be trival about the way a person looks at you for a song your playing , you just seem to me to be a little self centered. Take a look at our countries and count your blessing. God bless us all and our nations!!

anyone remember the assembly at the Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens in I think 91 0r 92 and it was a heat wave outside and inside the temperatures were unbelievable, you couldn't breathe. We stayed at the Carlton Inn right next door, and from that to the gardens your clothes your soaked through with presperation. Unbelievable. there was no air conditioning inside the gardens and people were just wiped out from heat stroke.
I couldn't believe I lasted that assembly. but i was in the Carlton so it made it a little easier for me, but the elderly and infirm and children it was unbearable for them.

I am off on a little rest for 4 days and I come back to a bunch of you leaving, okay so whats going on? Now I am really depressed. Gee I know you want some time with your little one, and I don't blame you, you need those precious times with your child.

by flower ini'm grateful for the friends i've made here and hope to continue relationships with them however this board has reached the 'more harmful than good' stage for me as well so i'm going to have to move on.
i've recently began re-question my decision to leave the jw's and have been wondering if we arent all really screwed up as is believed to be the case by jw's.
i need to go back and re-read all the exjw literature to prove to myself all over again that we are normal and ok and victims of a fraudulent cult.

Flower I am sure you know how I feel about you, as I have expressed my feelings in many of my posts. For whatever reason you feel compelled to leave, I hope it is a short leave of absence.
I concur with others, there are always some boobs that will say crap and be rude and crude, but they are just a few, in comparison to us others who do care about one another. Please consider that.
So in the meantime take a little R&R and than come back, because, I for one refuse to say goodbye.

Mr. Moe. Sorry to hear of the situation at MCI. From all that I have read on the board and learned about you, you appear to be a strong person and determined. So with that I just know that you will make a fantastic medical care worker. Any person who chooses work in the medical field is a very compassionate person and I know Amanda your one cool kat.
