Don't Show Mercy to the Watchtower

compassion and forgiveness are important qualities for all of us - but that said, this is not the time to 'let up' or start showing mercy to .

let's consider three ways in which they hurt people:.

first, they injure or wreck families.

my feelings are this, why should we show mercy to the watchtower? They destroyed and have lots of witnesses who have died for no good reason, they have allowed pedophiles and done nothing about it until it was exposed. For years they told hemophiliacs that they couldn't have plasma and many passed away and yet today they permit it. It is like Russian Roulette with the WTS and peoples lifes. shall we do it or not do it. remember too that it a majority who win in the GB. That is what angers me, if they profess to be the FDS and yet can't come to a 100 percent conclusion on issues of humans lifes. it is as if they play God.

They refuse to overlook the errors of others and they destroy families rather then showing them that love is the greatest commandment next to worshipping and loveing God with every part of our being soul, and heart. They don't overlook transgression yet the scriptures tells us that God overlooks our mistakes. Disfellowhipping is a weapon used by the organization to keep JWs in order.

They pummel chirstians into doing things according to them rather from God and Christ Jesus. They make being a christian a very difficult thing. Christians that are true followers find no burden yet the WTS burdens them with all their piety.

I have no mercy for the WTBTS, I am not saying that I don't miss some fellow jws some are really nice, but they can't stay nice if they allow themselves to be subjected to a harsh organization forever. It will eventually tear them down.

Do they help people in cong. that are poor or help the elderly and sickly no rather they look at you like your a real burden to the cong. No love no assitance, not true yoke, they are diluding themselves. When it comes time to pay God his things, what will the organiaion do? Run the other way, hide , or face the consqences of their bad failure to be there as Moses was to the Isrealites, or Jesus to the people of his day, or the devote Nazarites. Or kind and loving to those who are suffering terrible sickness or the inabilties of people who are unable to pioneer or the pub. who is unable to get out in the servie. Or even assist the disabled. Other churches by a bus to bring the handicapped to church. They are far more Christ like then the Oranization and its phony members,

They too have to answer to t he Judge of all and To Chirst. and lets see what transpires as they continue to pay millions to pedophiles victims who have suffered so terribly. No warning to the congregation what so ever, all cover ups they are truly merciless. and I would dare think that if Christ was in there midst they overlook him because of Christs humility and loving all the believers.

I would rather be starving have many friends and being truly happy then being JW and a hypocrtie who have very little mercy for others. You can see the results almost surely as they occur on a day to day bases. A house divided among one another can not stand. It will fall for sure. And those who live in glass towers shouldn't throw stones.

How come the women's restrooms always stink at assemblies....

i mean i use public restrooms...even gas station restrooms on occassions and they never smelled like the assembly bathrooms.

i thought that they were suppose to be clean people????.

just thought i'd ask....

When I think about this I am glad we had washrooms although they were unpleasant. But can you imagine the inhumanity Hilter did to the Jews and other ethnic groups he hated. He would just jam these wonderful human beings into cattle cars and put a bucket for pee and a bucket for pooh and that stench must have been unbearable. Imagine how their dignity suffered.

And in the POW camps the condtions were eaqually inhumane. The lice and vermin and bacteria were illness sprung up immediatley from the germs is unbelieveable to me.

At least we had washroom even if there was a smell.

It makes my heart strings pull down real far. Those poor human beings.

I don't have a strong tummy and those bathrooms were disgusting. Over the years I wised up. I guessed to myself that I have never seen members of GB in line ups or those who were assigned special workers they seemed to go to the poddy at some hide out that the brethren knew nothing about. Once I decided to follow some of the big wigs and watched where they would disappear during convention talkes. Where 10s of thousands attended. With stratagy I just meandered and by following the elite to find out the hideout where these secret bathrooms were hidden. The convention directors always set up the different rooms of importance in and toward the mens locker rooms. Like the guys that run the stadiums for special rooms for coaches and team met and I went into those washrooms they were immaculate and there was no offensive odour.

I saw there were two sets of washrooms one for the gals and then the guys that were at the areanas back part of the stadiums. Generally behind the podium.

All the other bathrooms were full and line ups long and not so cheerful as mothers tried to keep their children in order evn when the wee ones were ready to pee thier little panties. I use to think this is just dispectable as I know there were other washrooms all throughout the stadium, but the brothers had these areas strung with ropes across them. So the brothers weren't able to get to them. The attendants were instructed to sent persons to the washrooms set up on the different levels. And yes the washrooms used by sisters were beyond belief.

Years and years ago I don't ever recall washroom smelling so diplorable. Sisters were assigned to keep the toilets clean with a nice smelling cleaner and use lysol to cut back on bacteria. Washing up the sinks and handles to prevent illness. The washrooms seldomed made you feel like you weren't going to puck your guts up because of the stench. Where did those wonderful sisters disappear too they were the best volunteers. Getting help was difficult and sisters weren't all that keen to clean washrooms. As one poster mentioned that the brothers decided too many sisters were missisng too much of the programs and in their infinite wisdom have the bathroom mirrors covered over so there was no way a sister could revamp her hair and make up. Several sisters did however rip portions of the paper of the mirrors and still kept themselves prim and proper so that the brothers could see there beauty. Gawd what a studip rule. paper on mirrors. next time they may drill holes in the floor and sister stand over them and do there business, that is how weird the governing body is. Another example of we are important and you are not.

And getting back to the hidden poddy rooms there were no papers covering those mirrors. "What double standards." Hell no. Some one I guess forgot to do those washrooms.

Some sisters suffer from incontinence and Interstitial Cystitis

What were these sisters to do pee on the floor ? I know about this as my mom has it and the pain is indescribalbe and if she couldn't get to the washroom she could just pass out from the pain. I told my mother about these hidden washrooms and when she would go to use those bathrooms she told the attendant about her condition and produced a letter from her doctor stating she must be able to relief herself for fear of causing further problems. So they let my mom go in. I had no difficulty either as I knew so many brothers from all around the world and the speakers etc it was easy to get into . I hated to see sisters and children suffer like this. When thousands use these washrooms sure your going to have a terrible odour even on the levels of the stadiumyou are able to smell it. It is human nature, poddy is by no means perfume. We just have to be ready to stand in the line up.

Oh well i just felt they brothers had double standards.

When did you last attend a meeting at the Kingdom Hall?

The last time I attended a meeting in the Kingdom hall was in mid December 1999 and was disfellowshiped on the 4th of January. It took them a while to find me. But they didn't I just ignored the letters theysent which was two letters. They even begged my sister to come to the JC meetings but I refused. I was n't going to allow any man on this earth go over my intimate affaris of my life, I believed that my only judge was God and I would take my feelings and discussed them with God. I never said anything. However Idid sent the PO stating that I have a lot of respect for you but I will not attend the committee hearing. It was my feelings that God will handle me with proper justice, not mans justice as per the GB arrangements. I disagreed with that. So then I was disfellowshipped in absentia.

I felt better doing it that way then being raked over hot coals. It was none of their business,

What do you think about small children commenting in the meetings?

Brainwashing starts really early with JW parents.

My sisters husband use to spank their infant children to either behave at a meeting or in home and at the Kingdom hall. I feel if a child wants to express themselves then let them, because children can say some amazing things about mom and dad and people at the kingodm hall. It reminds me of Jesus' word, "Out of the mouths of Babes." Heaven knows what will come out of their innocent minds.

My other sister who lives in Ottawa was a beast of a parent as was her husband. They browbeated the so called truth into her kids and let me tell those kids resented it very much. She was a beater on her kids. I hated it and told her so. I often wished I call the Childrens aids society. When her son was 16 he moved out of the home as my sister and her husband treated their children like soldiers. They literally were slaves. I think my sister was pretty crappy as a parent. I know that is why her son left as soon as possible . Their girl was a slow learner and was more dependant with her parents and was eager to please. But these kids were like robots and I am not kidding when I said she made them out to be her personal slave. I could write a book about it. Its was sad.

My other sister she taught her kids early and beat them many times into obedience and I know that was really wrong. She made the kids to start early to give answers in meeting.

My son seldom answered but when he did he gave answers that were in his heart. I never ever browbeated my son into the so called organzation. I was happy when he stood up and said I am not going to be a Jehovah's witnesses, they are all a bunch of hypocrites. He realized that by age 13 or 14 and becasue I didn't want to go to the meetings because I couldn't stand the meetings I never allowed him to be pushed to the meetings or bribed him like my husband did. If you go to the kingdom hall then we will get a treat after the meeting or I will take you to a resturant or even money. I was sick of the tactics my ex used to co erce his son to attend and answer at meetings.

It is dispicable on the part of parents who beat their kids in to submission and make threats if they don't answer at the meetings.

For those raised as a JW...

like many i was about 7 or 8 when my parents were baptized.

being a child you naturally trust that your parents are doing the right thing and follow them.

i was baptized at 15-how often i wish i could turn back the clock!

I was not raised as a JW. But both my parents had families that were JWs,

My father ran away when he was 14. That is when his mom and dad became witnesses. My dad was hurt and shocked.

My moms father was a JW but never got baptized. He died before the assembly he was to be baptized at according to my fathers parents. I don't believe them but that is a different matter.

I was 13 when parents began to study and dad was baptized in siix months. We celebrated our last Christmas in 63, really a bummer. Oh hell I was mad, no more going to church with my grandma, not confirmation, not more holidays, or birthdays all shoved down my throat in one quick gulp I was told we were becoming witnesses and that everything in our lives are going to change and for the better. My I thought he had downed another JD and a 24 and it was all just a momentary nightmare. But no it was not. the next 38 years would prove to be hellish and I wasn't happy a day until I walked out of the organization and never looked back. Thank you God.

I have often wondered if either of my folks regret being JW's even though they gave the immpression they were super happy. I can tell you differently that prior to every meeting and going out in the service, dad and mom would start fighting about something. I really thought mom didn't want to get involved. It took her almost three years before she was baptized. I don't think she was happy at all. But she has stayed in it, I think pride or fear keeps her connected to the organization. I can't think of any other reason.

I wonder if my parents had been honest with themselves they may have never been truly deep down JW's. I recall several years ago prior from my leaving the organzatin in 99 mom said to me, she wishes at times she was no longer a JW. Wow was I flabberghasted. My mom not wanting to be a JW anymore. That is like saying she something unthinkable on her part. But it showed to me that my mother was having doubts. And was not happy as a JW.

I t hink she regretted saying that because she was a tad red in the face and just not acting like her normal self.

So why could my mom and sisters feel angry with me? AS my sister left when she was about 15 and left for 14 years. She didn't have much to say when I told her I was leaving the JWs and my ex husband. She was I think lost for words, and then she said to me, I can't say to you you shouldn't do this or that with your life as I was the same I left for along time. She said in our last conversation , "but Terry I am certain there isn't another year left in this world or system of things. At most maybe just maybe 2 years," I have many times over these last nine years thought of our conversation and I wonder what she feels like now that Armeggadon didn't come as the society has left people believing in for over 120years or more. Does she regret returning to the witness.? I bet she does.

And I strongly believe mom feels the same way, (why hasn't the end come)?. Maybe just maybe mom sees the Society is not the truth that they force you to believe in. My mom is a smart person that is why I can't figure out why she can't see the witnesses are not the true faith.

Even when I was baptized at age 17 I still regret it very much, because my parents weren't honest with us. I was constantly reminded if I were to disobey the faithful and discreet slave, then I would be kicked out onto the streets. Now isn't that just loving? Notice he didn't say if you disobey God and his wrtitten word, no it was the FDC. Sheesh what a terrible existance my live was.

I hope the day comes when one of them contacts me and says they want out of the organization. I am just bidding my time.

Why do JWs mostly go door to door in the mornings?

I believe your right Billy the Bethelite. Lets get it done asap and then we have the rest of the day to play.

I use to prefer when I was a pioneer to start in the heat of the summer at 7 AM and work until Noon.

Reason being Montreal is a huge city and people are everywhere day and night. I couldn't function in the humidity of the summer so that is why I began real early and I had a lot of people that would stop and chat with me. I kind of walked slowly down part of a street I didn't like standing there like a robot. Just a walkig robot.

I had several bible studies and I would have them late in the afternoon and if I didn't have a study I would just go home and die. What peeved me off more than anything else was having to wear nylons or panty hose. I really believed I was allergic to the hoisery by mid morning my legs at the top began bleeding for heat and rubbing as my legs touched each other. I couldn't take it, I would bleed everyday. One day I showed a sister what was happening to me and she said Terry you shouldn't have to wear them if they do that to you. No matter what the elders believed to be the proper attire. So that is what I did I burned my hosery and and of course gossip began and so to show them what the heat and humidity and presperation did to my legs no longer did sisters look down on me and I didn't care wht the elders said. They were n't out putting in 100 hours a month in service wearing panty hose.

My mom came to Montreal for a visit and I showed her what was happening. Do you know what she did and this is only the one time I can think of that my parents helped me out. Mom went to Eatons or Simpson and bought me a long legged 18 hour playtex girdle. Now my legs never burned or bled after that but I still refused to wear the panty hose.

I w as just a little rebel. Sugar I seemed to drift away from the time in which we would go out in service. Sorry about that.

still out of action with a double fracture of the leg... both bones right above the ankle.

the incisions are healed up pretty well... see the doc at the end of the month to see how this recovery will progress.. who else is on the sick, injured or crazy list this week?.

Valveteen and Lady Lee,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me. Keeping my mind from becoming overwhelmed is very import and I have to do it or I will slip into a deep depression. I have been climbing the walls as if it w ere possible (hehe) as my spine is just in such a mess. I went to emergency today I swear all the people who live in town were in emergency. After being assested by the triage nurse, I looked up to see more that 150 people and I heard one mother complain to the nurses that her daughter was waiting for four hours and she was in a really bad way and was in fast lane. I didn't fare the same, I explained to the nurse for me to sit 5-8 on my scooter would not work and because there is such a large crowd I have decided to leave and if I feel still in terrible pain I would go back tonight or tommorow. So I left.

It was my OT who sugested I go to the hospital er. today as he said Terry you have been flat on your back for two weeks. Maybe I better go to the family doctor tomorrow.

Yes I am delighted to be living finally in Assisted Living, and yes Marco would have loved this. The apart emnt is great the staff is great and they come to see me twice a day.

It is really difficult adjusting to My loving husband passing. He meant everything to me. We both lived in non profit housing for seniors but the aprartment was built 40 yrs ago and the building in those years were not equipped with the amenedies I have here.

Mats my OT prepared letters to the Lion's and Rotary club and ADP and also the ODSP and discretionary benefits.

He ordered a new bed for me and a shower seat for the shower stall. Plus I am getting lifecall. and if memory serves me I believed I mentioned those items in my other post.

I always endeavour to remember that there are people worse of then me and that makes me feel more appreciative of what I can do.

Thanks for you kind thought and i am glad for you Lee having a nice apartment. Ottawa is one of my favourite cities in Canada. We use to have alot of summer conventions in Ottawa when I lived in Montreal. We would stay at the Holiday Inn for the convention on King St.. we had our room overlooking the river and the parliment buildings. And I have always found this city to be quite clean.

I think I told you Lee my sister lives in Ottawa, one St. Laurent Blvd. They are Superintendents of a high rise apartment building.

I really don't want to alarm you but you have been scammed. Never ever ever give out your personal information. I had this happen to me last year from England and the guy just needed a copy of my drivers license. The guy in Englalnd gave me a telephone number and all the particulars and it just sounded to good to be true. I spoke with the police and gave them his phone number. They police said all they want is your idenity and your money. He says don't even open them up as many of them have virus. Or once you sign into their website your in trouble.

I hope it isn't to late for you to change you private information.

I was just going to give them my ID and that little voice in side me compelled me to contact the cops and I am sure glad I did do that.

Now when ever I get emails from people who insist they are needing money to be put into your account run for the hills and spam it immediately. Or they tell you they have millions from a family member and they need to open up an address here in Canada. I just think it is dreadful these scams are. And now people who cliam to be servants of God and need help and ask you for your prayers etc don't even finish reading it spam it .

I was fortuante in that I called the authorities. It was a gut feeling.

Should Welfare Recipients Contribute to the Society?

the wts depends on money coming in from it's members and they aren't picky on where the money comes from.. the wts does not pay taxes because it is a religion - therefore, one assumes that no taxes are paid on the kingdom halls.

the wts does not provide any food banks or soup kitchens to assist the poor in the community - the money it collects is forwarded directly to the top.

many cities and counties are struggling to balance the books as more people require government assistance to live, wether it be from food stamps, transportation or general welfare.
