No snow in Georgia, but then again we don't have any water either!
Outaservice Praying for this................
yesterday we were blessed with another 8 inch snowfall.
it was [in defense] among the most beautiful days we have had this winter - the temps around 30 and the sun was out sometimes.
i spent the entire day at home with the grandmunchkins - they spent most of it outside playing in the wintery stuff, as they were off school.
No snow in Georgia, but then again we don't have any water either!

i just thought i'd post this idea i just had.
knowing that most people want nothing to do with any kind of activism, i understand, of course, that there will be maybe 1 or 2 people who will think this is a good idea and probably not a single person will ever actually do this thing.
having said that wouldn't it be cool to have a project called "turn your cameras on jehovah's witnesses?
ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE as the old Watchtower slogan once said!
Outaservice...
i received an email from my sister in law.
she was relating an experience given in a talk at an assembly.
a young couple wanted to have children, but they couldn't conceive, so they decided to adopt a child.
Sometimes these are referred to as 'Preacher's stories'! When no names or dates or places are mentioned, take it for a grain of salt.

i think all the lawsuits and then the exposure to these lawsuits... .

My personal opinion is that their undoing will be Jesus Christ!

i thought it would be fun if we all shared some of our best ways of circumventing our field service time.
i have some funny ones and then interesting one where i realized what a lot of the higher ups were doing in the "field" service.. my best one was with my brother and i, when they made us "work together" and went to different streets.
we would go to one door, walk real slow and not do another door on that street, not one.
Before the 'quick build miracles' we built our Hall over a period of several years. Every Saturday working on it, while the sisters made lunch to bring on the job. No Saturday service more a long time.
I think we might have been responsible for the Society to institute 'Quick Builds'. Ha.

Yes. Back when you could order Watchtower subscriptions for mail delivery, I sent a check to the Society for a subscription. They sent me the check back and said I have to get them at the local congregation! They had already disassociated me (I did not disassociate myself) for lack of meeting attendance so I suppose that meant I was not worthy to receive the magazines in the mail as I must be worse than the general public. Ha.

When the District Converntions were held at the Stadium in South Bend, Indiana, I would go across the street to the Catholic college (Notre Dame) and eat with the nuns at their cafeteria. The food was much better, cheaper, and a more relaxed atmosphere. There were a few other JW's there too.

we have such an interesting group of people from around the world on this board.
it might be interesting to have a thread where you discuss a hobby, something interesting that happened in the past, somewhere you've been, etc.. not deep, dark confessions - just interesting stuff.. .
* i have travelled into all 48 american states that are not named alaska or hawaii.. * for the past few years, i have had a slight walking impairment due to a form of arthritis known as ankylosing spondylitis.
