The worst has got to be "From House to House fromDoor to Door , the something something goes somewhere" Oh everytime I heard that song I felt like I was singing for a cartoon.

OMG They are doing commercials now!?
by flower ini just finished watching martha stewart and after it went off there was a set of commercials before the news came on and i swear i just saw a commercial from the christian congregation of jehovahs' witnesses!.
it was about raising your children with knowledge and love.
it showed a teen girl on the internet in a chat room with a person who had become her best friend and wanted to meet her in person and they said something like if it seems too good to be true it is..'love builds happy familys' was the slogan or something.. .

Good grief, I don't know how I missed this before... commercials... we definitely need to write the stations broadcasting this drivel. Like SFJim show the absurdness of the pedophile protecting borg advertizing "loving families"..YUCK

Welcome to this forum JUMPER. I hope yu'll be able to see the methods that the WTS use to indoctrinate the JW's. Maybe when you understand the WTS methods you will recognise the brainwashing techniques.
Again Welcome!

I want to ask her out...
by DanTheMan inthere's a girl in my math class at community college who...omg she is such a hottie.
a babe-alicious babe.. i am very inexperienced in these matters, i guess you could say i'm relationship challenged.. how do i approach her?
she seems to struggle a bit with the material we're covering in class, and it comes pretty easy to me.

Dan the Man, Country girl and Xena have given you the best advise. Eye contact and secret smiles are THE number ONE way to start anything. Then when you see each other and you get the chance hold a door for her, or you see her in the library just go by and ask if you can sit there... but really everything they (Xena and CG)said is great.

What religion would be your favorit if had to choose?
by Singing Man ini would say it would be the catholic cause you can do just about any dam thing you want.
and if you feel like you need to be close to god or something you can always go light some candles and wear a cross or put on a pointed hat or a white collar or deprive yourself of women or men in the case of nuns.
and you get to hear funny boys sing chants, and you also can put some real holly water on your head that the priest got from the sink oh and you can wear saint christopher's.

For all that MJ is and has done I believe his parents are both guilty, at least as guilty as MJ. No one told him to stop the PS, no one showed him how to be a megastar and human. Imagine if he'd grown up with real family values, not physically beaten by Dad and emotionally beaten w/ WTS by Mom. There was a time when he could've overcome his illness. I rememeber when he helped his sister Janet get her career, her dancing, her figure totally together --- Janet is fine. Even though we've all wondered about the allegations about MJ, we all know that someone in his family or employ knows the truth.

Iraq Al Qaeda link apparently is there
by Yerusalyim infox news is putting out a report that the senate intelligence committee has a sixteen page memo detailing the links between iraq and al qaeda going back before the first gulf war.
this includes monies...weapons...and training going to aq, atta meeting twice with iraqi intelligence (1994 and 2000), and a possible visit by ubl himself to baghdad a few years back.
it'll be interesting to see how this pans out...even more interesting to hear what the oppossers have to say if this all proves true...you know...the ones who keep saying there's no link between iraq and a q.

There is a famous Russo-Japanese War quote from an American which said "The Japanese never declare war until they attack." So making the plans and doing the deed was never enough to get Congress to build up the military in the Pacific, why, because Japan hadn't declared war on America. Six million Jews were murdered because the US wouldn't get involved and stop the genocide, why, because the Germans couldn't possibly be killing their own people. Today we have better information and excuse me if every citizen doesn't have access to military secrets. Need I mention that w/o American intervention that the French and English would speak German as their national language today... yeah no kidding. American soldiers, American blood, and American tax payers dollars preserved Euro-freedom and economy. Why do you object to helping others?
Do you even know any soldiers serving in Afghanistan or Iraq? I do. They don't dislike the President, they believe in freedom for everyone. HeckAmerican soldiers are the good guys, the nice guys ---maybe too nice. President Bush is a regular good guy too.
If you object to my final statement please refrain from responding because quite frankly I don't care for your attitudes.
Give it a break you nay sayers. AlQueda beyond a reasonable doubt had a direct connection to the Bathists government.

Politics is taking over again
by Simon ini think it's getting a bit much.. please remember that while we dont mind some discussion of current affairs, we are not intending to be a political discussion forum.. i'm getting especially tired seeing some people making insulting and dismissive remarks and just posting dogma and propaganda.
worse still, it seems some people are *only* interested in posting on political threads and nothing else.
let me make it clear - that is not why we're here and if that is the only reason that you are here you will find the number of posts you have will be limited.. this of course goes for both sides.

Simon, The political posts will get bad come next August through November. After the election the name calling will continue "you're stupid, no you're stupid. you guy lost because ^*((*^(%*)(, yours won because $$$$$$$$. Ad Nauseum.
How about a topic class like "only illogically political discussions", or "don't cross this line if you vote", that way everyone knows what to expect and you won't get any shocked "Well I never expected this on a supposedly loving place for Xjws."
