  cosmetic surgery!!!

  all these shows lately on telly - like nip/tuck etc.

  highlighting cosmetic surgery got me to thinking of about 20 odd years ago as a dub..how prevalent cs was.

  i knew two young women (aged about 17 / 18) who had breast reduction operations in the same cong, of course it was very `hush, hush` at the time but considering it was a small country cong - that seems like a rather high ratio of non-necessary surgery to me........any other experiences of this?

  Breast reduction is NOT cosmetic surgery. I know several women who had this done when they were teens because of the awful back pain.

  Greetings from Tokyo

  i know this is not jw related (although, "if you would like to remain standing while we read a few announcements" will be familiar to many who had to stand up while greetings were read from unknown people)...but anyway i'd like to send my greetings.

  i won't have much chance to read many threads or likely respond to this one until i return.

  for my sins i am visiting tokyo this week.

  thirdson, in Asia there is always a mass of humanity around you. I never stayed long in Tokyo, just overnight at a Narita hotel. But I've taken the 18 hr flight to Beijing from Houston... not fun. Although if someone offered me a free ticket I'd suffer through it again. Enjoy your time. Isn't it wonderful to learn about people?!!

  i carry a few extra pounds but i generally don't overeat.

  however, i enjoy a good meal.

  but, the organization that says, "let us not judge others" is giving it's members free reign to judge those who are overweight (in the judger's eyes).

  I remember around 1983 there was glutton talk. I remember because one brother mentioned the fat 

  problem and that a woman he and his wife were studying with was very smelly. 

  I told him that was a soap and water thing. He asked me if I knew how to get her to realise her 

  overeating made her smelly. I replied again that maybe he should just send his wife with another sister because

   he shouldn't be sniffing her. He just got on this fat sisters are sinning thing. And I guess

  he was right because Mr.Panda and I were doing things we shouldn't, food may have been involved, 

  I'm not saying for sure, but some worldly habits were weigh too hard to break.

  Also, I always encouraged all of those beautiful skinny teenagers to keep themselves healthy and

  thin. I thought they looked great. I sewed several wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses 

  and the skinny girls were fun because they never thought they looked good enough.

  My brother died last night

  my brother turned 21 on september 24th, a month later the doctor told him that his leukimia had returned and he had a 10% chance of surviving.

  ten days before he died he spent four days at my house.

  he had already made up his mind that he wasnt going to take blood.

  pain in the ass customer, but finally he purchased, and we are done with him.. during this time, i came to find out that he is a witness.

  freedom, I definitely understand that, and I applaud your ability to keep it MUM. They would probably start making up stories about you being demonized or something. Dubs just cannot believe anyone would just walk away from the borg and be just another fine human being.

  women are supposed to be subservient and in subjection to males.

  Everyone I know and love I also know how far to trust them. I mean heck you don't have to be a paragon of virtue for me to love you. But then I have certain issues which make me walk the other way, child molestors, abusive spouses or partners.

  As for gender and age. I really like kids. I enjoy conversations with informed adults. And old folks amaze me. Gender, I especially appreciate women. I adore one man.

  ok, this is just a funny thought.. it is noted that saint nicholas, who attended that first ecumenical council, got so upset with arius' insistence that jesus was only a man that he punched arius in the face (and got his bishop status revoked until several bishops reportedly had visions that he should be restored...).

  i guess that could explain why jws (=arius) hate christmas (=st.

  We all need a wake up call ---rememeber that the WTS is a publishing company NOT a religion. They hated all of that $$$$ flying out the doors of the KH's .

  Arius and Nicholas were only 2 of many combatants at that quorum. And Santa started out as a dwarf but with all of Americas super abundance of food he got taller (protein) then w/ fast food he got fatter Hey, do you think he'll sue?

  bisous, Welcome to the board. I'm one of those MWF48 ish --- from Texas who happens to have lived in Portland, Seaside and Cannon Beach Oregon. Thats where I dubbed, but I finally got to Texas where the folks deplore rude, love a good joke, and carry arms legally (you cannot expect us to always have a shovel for the road kill).

  Double-OT six is really a kind intelligent old fellow who likes to pretend he's young. We actually believe he is still living at Bethel where he has married a 12 year old, who steals all of his popcorn. That's pretty much it, so careful and don't mess with his ticker.

  What an ass&^%)(. Weren't we told not to interupt employees because that would be stealing time from their employer. I think you should call law enforcement, or better yet, on your business letterhead write to the WTS and suggest that they pay your employees wages for the time the Jws are around. What a bunch of hypocrits! That guy just found a place for some easy service time. Jerks.
