Evolution skeptics will soon be silenced by science: Richard Leakey
by cantleave incan you see the jw's changing their stance?.
http://richarddawkins.net/articles/646060-evolution-skeptics-will-soon-be-silenced-by-science-richard-leakey.
richard leakey predicts skepticism over evolution will soon be history.. not that the avowed atheist has any doubts himself.. sometime in the next 15 to 30 years, scientific discoveries will have accelerated to the point that "even the skeptics can accept it," the kenyan-born paleoanthropologist said.. "if you get to the stage where you can persuade people on the evidence, that it's solid, that we are all african, that colour is superficial, that stages of development of culture are all interactive, then i think we have a chance of a world that will respond better to global challenges.".

Are you trying to sound deep, Slimboy? To know is to not know and to be ignorant is to gain understanding, what are khaki pants but a social construct and all that?
There comes a point where you have to throw aside the BS mysticism and stick to a position. I doubt you'd be acting this way about any other scientific discovery. How we came to be just happens to be a touchy subject.

People will still believe what they want. Their credibility will just take a nose-dive.

Was there a giant hedge and a gate surrounding Eden? Why would God have walled off the area when there were no other humans around, and the rest of the Earth was also a paradise? Also, how would Adam know what a spinning sword was? He'd never seen one before. . .
So it would seem Jehovah invented the sword. And the hedgerow! What wonderful provisions our heavenly father has given us.

So I shaved off all my hair
by Qcmbr in..on my head.
in some small way i think i understand one reason for shaving new recruits or prisoners.
as i did it i felt sick in my stomach and it felt like i was losing some of my personality.

Maybe I should shave my head.
You said you cut yourself.. is that because of the condition or were you using an old school razorblade?

Bumping this thread. Here's one I was listening to last night, though not while drinking red wine (I was on heavier stuff).
You don't have to know dutch to like it, just know the chorus goes
Red wine, red wine, come let us be merry!

Are you up and down all night?
by compound complex ini am - every hour or so - but last night i slept for 5 hours uninterrupted, and this despite 4 cups of coffee late afternoon.

I play sudoku before I go to bed.
And by the time I've finished, the boredom is so overwhelming that sleep is my only escape.

I'm getting more and more frustrated . . .
by Flat_Accent inso last friday we had our regular visitor over.
one of the single brothers from my former hall.
we were decent friends when i was still attending meetings, but since my departure we don't have a lot in common.

Nice analogy, Billy. I'll save that one for later.
Infinite regression wouldn't work on my parents, or my dad in particular. He's argues on the premise that he's already right, no matter the evidence.

I didn't say it. I don't wanna push arguments too much, and get myself in trouble. But yes, I'd like to have seen the look on his face as well. Haha xD
Thanks guys. Starr you sound like a trouble causer, too! I try not to laugh, though I couldn't help myself once during a discussion on paradise.
After that he shut up and we watched the football.
