  making sense of report

  help....i have heard that the u.s. report in the jan 1 wt showed a 3% increase!

  the past 15 years or so never saw growth more than 1%.

  dis they change the way these figures are compiled resulting in exagerated numbers?

  according to judges 10:3,4 a mannamed jair judged isrel.

  he kept his women busy.

  it says he had thirty sons (apparently no daughters) who rode thirty asses (a bit odd detail) who had thirty cities.

  Rahab the Dragon

  isaiah 51:9,10..job 26:12-13...psalm 89:9,10...isaiah 27:1...psalm 74:13,14...psalm 77:16 and possibly other verses refer to a sea monster who is vanquished (split in two)by yahweh.

  the contexts show application to creation and/or judgement of enemies.

  i'm hoping this sparks a discussion.

  what's in a name?

  perusing the insight books years ago it occured to me how many names of bible charactors seemed prophetic.

  that is, their name matched to the story they appeared in.

  "achan" for example means "bringer of trouble" and sure enough he was.

  pelejoezelgibborabiadsarshalom (wonderful councelor mighty god eternal father prince of peace) is the name/title given in isaiah 9:5 to someone, but who?

  (look it up or this next part will make little sense.

  ) the piece is an expression of faith that yahweh will bless the people and the government as long as they have a king (or when they get a king, as may be implied by referring to a birth of this king) who honors him (yahweh) with words of praise.

  hello all, it has been a while and much has happend.i have been reunited with my wife who has left the witnesses as a result of pursuing research on the origins of the christian theology.it is very hard on her now and i hope i can be enough support to get her through this.

  the point of this post is to make plain what was once secret.

  most all of us recognize dec 25 as a date once reserved for celebrating the winter solstice by honoring various sun gods or god's associated with light.

  genesis says that cherubs guarded the way to eden with a spinning sword.yet this is long before tubal-cain first invented forging of iron.

  (according to the bible)does this mean jehovah invented swords and was the first to use them for violence?

  Can Satan create life?

  the familiar tale of moses approaching pharoah with the demand to free israelite slaves has always purplexed me.

  the account says that yhwh miraculously changed moses staff into a serpant but then just as miraculously pharoah's priests did likewise.

  does this not "prove" that satan is equally capable of creating life from nothing?
