I should've paid closer attention to the thread--still effect us. I posted my childhood cons. I've been over all those fears for years. I've a wonderful JW mother but she didn't encourage education. The end was coming--but it was ok to get married and start a family. That was years ago, many changes since then. : )

Not pursing an education because the end was coming. Having that 1914 & 1975 theory brainwashed in my head. Hoping I would die before the end so I would be resurrected to the paradise. Having an extreme fear of demons.

Hi - I'm new here!
by Flicka ini have been lurking on this site for the past 2 months.
for the past few years i have been going to the meetings and doing fieldservice out of guilt.. my husband (twisty) told me regularly i only do it out of guilt but i denied it and said it i want to do these things because i love jehovah and it is the right thing to do, but how can it be the right thing if you don't feel welcome and it feels like everyone is judging you the moment you walk into the kingdom hall.. it has taken a few years and a lot of tears to open my eyes.. over the past few years twisty spoke to me about the various things he didn't agree with but it just went over my head.
a few months ago we were lying in bed and he brought up his concerns again, and i'm not sure what was different this time but i understood and agreed with the points he was making.

After 53 years, I just realized I was raised in a CULT. Now, I'm going to use words that my mother would never approve of I THANK MY LUCKY STARS that it wasn't a Polygamist Cult.

If I get involved with the kids, then I have to deal with the wack job. I feel bad but I don't want to get involved. I get my feelings hurt too easy, getting to old to deal with all her DRAMA.

Yes Zid, you are right she would be DF. She lives a very immoral lifestyle even for a so called WORDLY person. I just feel so sorry for the children. When the have holiday parties at school they have to stay home and all the other things they miss in life. Most of all, fear of demons and the end of the system so afraid their mother is going to die.

Yes, she personally takes the children to the meetings. Her father, my boyfriend, is Catholic and her mom is a JW. They have been divorced for years. The mother is still a JW. Their daughter wrote a letter and disaassociated herself, she claims to her dad she is half Catholic and half JW. I know she's a FRUIT LOOP but my boyfriend don't get it. I know if you are DF and want to come back you would go to the meetings but if you DA yourself, isn't that different?

Evil Spirits
by LizLA indoes anyone on this forum have knowledge about casting out demons or evil spirits?
there's at least two of them that have been harrasing me even before i was a jw.
i recently attended a deliverance church to find some help but it was apparent that the holy spirit was missing from that church.

I was always taught to say out loud "IN THE NAME OF JEHOVAH GET OUT OF HERE" They are afraid of Jehovah's name. They will leave. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!! When I grew up, I was so afraid of the demons, I slept with my lights on until my early 20's. Once my mother bought a second hand sewing machine, then scratching on my bedroom walls started. My mother was certain it was the demons, it was mice in the attic walls. I had to listen to so many demon stories and no proof of any demons. I use to be afraid they would get inside me. My mother assured me this would not happen but something was going to happen in 1975. Growing up, I was always afraid of DEMONS & THE END. Scary 21 and I lived life like it's 1975-THE END. Did the demons take us over LOL It's all about right and wrong--good and evil. I feel so sorry for JW children.

Thank you for sharing the article. After I watched the video Faith in Action, it made me realized that Scary21 and I were raised in a CULT. If you asked my mother what she is going to do in the new system, her response would be "WHATEVER THEY TELL ME TO" How sad is that : ( Poor brainwashed mother.

I have only been on this site for few hours so I'm just learning how things work. Thank's Zid for the advice of starting a new thread. My sister is Scary21. Our mother has been a devoted JW for years. My sister and I were never baptized and it's a good thing because we would've been disfellowshiped and lost our mother forever. I can not even imagine the pain some have to endure ; (
My boyfriend's daughter was a JW. She wrote a letter and disassociated herself but she continues to attend the Sunday meeting. I want to know if anyone has ever heard of such a thing??????????????????? I just don't get it?????????? She says it's because of the kids who are 6 & 7. She wants them to be able to make their own mind up when they are old enough. I feel sorry for the kids living in fear of demons and the end. Just as I did.

Hi, I'm Enda75 and I am also new to this site. Luckly, I was never baptized. Oh--not suppose to say lucky or bless you and may the list go on. If my sister Scary 21 and I would've been baptized, we certainly would've been disfellowshiped and we would've lost our mother. I wanted to be baptized at age 16 but the elders decided I wasn't ready. What a BLESSING!! I was 16 in 1974 counting the hours to the end of the system. Never pursued an education because the end was coming. I also had an abnormal FEAR OF DEMONS!!!!!!
Scary 21 and I went to Flordia to see my JW mother. When I watched that DVD, I realized what a CULT they truly are. Thank god we were never baptized. My mother still has her two daughters that love her. I feel so sorry for others that have lost their family because of the CULT.
Recently, I met a someone that has disassociated themself from the organization but continues to attend the meetings and her JW mom still has contact. What do you think?? I thought you disassociate yourself because you want no part of the organization.
