The first 4000 years Jehovah communicates with humans,the next 2000 years is given to Jesus and he communicates with no one.

the bible has ample evidence of god communicating with humans during the first 4 centuries.. since jesus time ,god has not communicated with humans at all .,in the same way as he did in the first 4 centuries .. in fact jesus has not communicated with humans in the same way as jehovah did for the first 4000 years., during his 2000 years to this date , .

does not the bible say , god does not change , he is the same today as he was yesterday and will be tomorrow ?.

so why was god communicating with humans on a regular basis , one way or another for 4000 years and then , neither jehovah or his son jesus christ ever directly contacted humans ?.

We have not heard a word from Jesus these past 2000 years .

Biblical, historical 1st century type Christians are born again with a new spirit. This new spirit is sinless and so provides a foothold for the eventual redemption of the whole tripartite man: Spirit, Soul & Body. God interacts directly with the new spirit in a born again believer. Much more efficient than talking into a persons' ears.

Jesus said that when the Holy Spirit comes, that he would instruct born again believers into all the ways of truth.

The cross was God's final word on mans' attempt at being good. Not a lot to talk about after that.

Cart Witnessing - Thrilling! Productive! Epic! Er.....um, well, not so much.....

talked with a pioneer recently, she was recounting her first experience with cart witnessing.. she brought the subject up, was going on & on & on & on about how wonderful the experience was, and how great, and how she enjoyed it so much, and it was so wonderful, and oh jehovah's blessing, and on and on and on...... a few questions to her revealed what really happened:.

-- a jw who owns a small restaurant in a strip mall allows jws to set up their cart outside his restaurant.

-- the restaurant is tucked pretty far out of the way, not prominent at all.

A Christian apologist says Christians should use discernment when dealing with Jehovah's Witnesses, who have recently launched a massive worldwide proselytization campaign.

Throughout this summer and continuing through January 2016, Jehovah's Witnesses are holding thousands of "Imitate Jesus!" conventions in 92 countries. The program, organized by the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses, is being presented in nearly 350 languages. According to a release, the gatherings promise three days of "fascinating presentations of Jesus' dynamic teachings, designed to help people of all ages and circumstances."

In line with this push to highlight Jesus, consider:

I am Jehovah. That is my name; I give my glory to no one else - Is. 42: 8 (NWT)

Jesus answered: “It is my Father who glorifies me, the one who you say is your God." - John 8:54 (NWT)

How can Jehovah glorify Jesus when he states emphatically that he gives glory to NO ONE else? Jesus answers, "I and my father are one."

Will this be one of those "fascinating presentations of Jesus dynamic teachings" that will be highlighted by the Watchtower?

we know the wt interpretation of matt 25:40 is support of the anointed.

since most of us here are no longer in that situation, what, if any forms of charity are you involved in?

When I formed a new company a few years ago, I found a small ministry to orphans in the Ukraine to support from the success of the business. The ministry builds additions onto houses and plugs kids into already functioning families, mostly local pastors. They take up to 10 kids per family. The state just warehouses the kids and turns them loose at age 16 or 17. Drugs and sex traffickng gobble up many of the orphans upon release. It also runs a nice bible school there.

It has been wonderful to see pictures of smiling kids and to get updates over the years.

W 15 july - members of others religions not destroyed???

please tell me what do you understand from this quote that is taken from w july 2015, the article your deliverance is close paragraph 5.. i understand that not all members of other religions will be destroyed at armageddon.

i talked to a jw.

he says he understands differently: they will not be destroyed when the babylon the great will be destroyed but they will be destroyed in armageddon.

For clarity sake, this is a commentary about what the passages in Zechariah are actually about:

13:1-6 In the time mentioned at the close of the foregoing chapter, a fountain would be opened to the rulers and people of the Jews, in which to wash away their sins. Even the atoning blood of Christ, united with his sanctifying grace. It has hitherto been closed to the unbelieving nation of Israel; but when the Spirit of grace shall humble and soften their hearts, he will open it to them also. This fountain opened is the pierced side of Christ. We are all as an unclean thing. Behold a fountain opened for us to wash in, and streams flowing to us from that fountain. The blood of Christ, and God's pardoning mercy in that blood, made known in the new covenant, are a fountain always flowing, that never can be emptied. They have no fear of God either when he says that in hell it will simply not be possible to cease being conscious. We were created with the ability to enjoy God and his unfathomable goodness for eternity. God has put eternity in us.

I'm okay with the "fruitage of the spirit."

though i now consider myself a secular buddhist, i just realized today that i'm okay with trying to pursue the qualities mentioned by paul as the "fruitage of the spirit.".

the only one i take issue with is "faith" in the context of religion.

what are your thoughts on the matter?.

Happy Memorial Day

just wishing a happy memorial day to everyone!

we had some friends over, barbecued and let the kids run around slap crazy playing cops and robbers and hide and go seek.

we have so many freedoms that those under tyranny do not have.

Hi Cappytan,

Back porch was covered, we grilled there. House got turned into a playground with 5 kids. It stopped raining long enough for a good long walk though.

My son and I built a rocket with a 2000 ft. capacity. Our plan was to shoot it off on Memorial Day. With a 500 foot cloud ceiling, we decided against.

We're still looking for a Landa Park re-do some Saturday with you all..... if it ever stops raining.
