Who has had this year's invitation personally delivered by elders?
by biometrics inhad two elders personally visit me today to deliver the rejection of christ memorial invitation.
they were hanging around the front gate for a while because our dog (labrador) woudn't let them in.. my wife let them in the yard / house.
when they asked if i'd be going i smiled and said "thank you for the invitation", then quickly changed the subject.

When I was in my late teens I got pulled in the back room after two jdubs who smoked with me ratted me out for smoking pot. I admitted it because I didn't care.
Two of the elders were giving me the third degree about how awful it would be if an interested person saw me and it stumbled them. The third elder looked at me and asked me, I kid you not "WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO SMOKE POT?". I said talk to me after this meeting and I'll show you.
The other two said HEY,HEY,HEY,HEY ( GOOD OL PUBLIC REPROOF)

My Daughters House Burned Down
by Babyruth inmy daughters house burned down and her and her husband and three children got out with just the jammies on their back.
when her husband called his parents ( dad is elder and both parents are regular pioneers) the next morning, they told him they were sorry that they were unable to come and help as 'big wig' brother, head of the branch had just died and they were going to be with his grieving wife and son!?!
it's been a week now and they are still a no-show as they are too busy with their bible studies and service to even see their son and three grandchildren.

Iam a grandfather and I would be the first to offer help and support. It's a shame this CULT makes people act that way with no fellow feeling.

Why doesn't the WT close the religion?
by Aussie Oz ini was pondering the other day, why the watchtower corporation doesn't just sell off all the kingdom halls and hang the jws out to dry seeing they make far more $$$ from business than peddling the religion these days.. then it dawned on me... they need to keep that little sideline going for the tax breaks!.

Some jdubs think they are going to announce that the great tribulation has begun. LOL !! They will be surprised its all about magazine shrinkage.

by BreathoftheIndianNose inand things are within a week or two of being d.a.ed/d.f.ed, and my jw best friend sent me an email to check how i was doing.
i was fairly sure that he was very much on the edge of leaving to, or at least that he didn't believe it for a long time.
so i sent him an email in reply and told him basically everything i believed and the reasons i knew jws are not the true religion, and i also told him i was leaving.

by smiddy inlooking back at the different subjects that have come up on jwn , the ones where our freind has really thrown his" support" for jw`s and the organization ,i have come to the conclusion that {he} is really a fifth coumnist ,a secret agent ,supposedly working for and supporting the jw`s but in reallity , secretly, helping those" in" to see the absurdity of following the wtb&ts by his answers/responses to posts challenging doctrines,interpretations,prophecys,new light,present understandings,so- on and so- on.
i think he`s taking the mickey out of us.i think he really is one of us helping lurkers set themselves free from watchtower bondage.

Inactive for 8 years. They know where I live. Two sisters have visited two times. Visits stopped when I grew my goatee back. Out of sight out of mind.
