  my wife's exhusband garry, called last night.

  he's is kicking his 18 year old son out of the house at the behest of his new wife,yvonne.

  sean is 18 and is autistic.

  Yeru - why are the boys being/been thrown out? I have a 5 y.o w/sever autism - so I understand quirky behavior to say the least!

  Perhaps they will be better off w/you. Does the 18 y.o receive services to help transition into workplace/college?

  I'm sorry this is happening to you and your wife - it makes no sense.

  Mommy - I was kicked out at 16 too, and didnt' do drugs, drink, smoke or nothing - just was df'd. It is hard when you're struggling to finish school & have enough money to make ends meet.

  take all women who are within five years of menopause - train us for a few weeks, outfit us with automatic weapons, grenades, gas masks, moisturizer with spf15, prozac, hormones, chocolate, and canned tuna - drop us (parachuted, preferably) across the landscape of afghanistan, and let us do what comes naturally.. think about it.

  our anger quotient alone, even when doing standard stuff like grocery shopping and paying bills, is formidable enough to make even armed men in turbans tremble.. we've had our children, we would gladly suffer or die to protect them and their future.

  we'd like to get away from our husbands, if they haven't left already.

  if at the end when jesus comes to make justice on earth and it turns out that jehovah's witnesses was the one true path, what would you say to him?.

  If Jesus came back & told me that the JW's were the only ones who "were right", I would kindly thank God that I chose to leave that organization. If they were the only "true" path, then God left billions of people on earth without the chance to make a well-informed choice, as well as let his "organization" hurt many good, decent christian people in their mis-guidance. They say seek, but only within their organization. You have doubts - you're out. You make a mistake and not "in" in your cong - you're out. God said we'd know his followers/believers by their "love" - if the JW's is typical of the "love" God wanted shown, I'll be happy to step out of the picture and let him have this earth - it isn't a place I'd want to live.

  Bethel move scrapped??

  i recieved a telephone call from a prominent bethelite yesterday.

  he told me that the proposed london bethel move to milton keynes had been scrapped.

  the reason, brooklyn feel that since sept 11 the big a is so close less than a year away (right!!!!!

  I would agree it may be financial, as well as the fact that with all this UN stuff floating around, perhaps they wish to hit the sub-conscious of all the JW's and keep them from leaving and continue knocking on doors.....at least for another year until the Big-A doesn't happen (again).

  i've been lurking here for a while now, posted a handful of times, but this board has had a profound effect on me.. i have just finished reading coc which i would never have even heard of if it wasn't for this board.. anyway, in light of everything i have learned here, i have been waiting expectantly for the next unsuspecting jw's to knock on my door, just so i can er, 'enlighten' them.. about 15 minutes ago, just that happened.

  i answered a knock on my door to be confronted by two jw's.

  one of them i remembered vaguely from a neighboring cong, and the other was someone i knew pretty well from my old cong.. so what did i do?

  Can understand exactly what you mean as well. Even now, after 16 years I have a difficult time dealing at least with family members who start in, especially "da mom". She can still leave me feeling like a blubbering idiot.

  but, it does get easier with JW's you don't know - in fact it can be fun. There was one time my boyfriend and I were in a rather heated argument when guess who shows up? lol - I answered the door w/mascara streaming down my face and they were of course a little taken back. They asked if this was a bad time, and because of the adrenaline rush I was having w/the argument answered "Yes it is - you see I'm being physically punished for not being submissive enough sexually". They left in quite a hasty retreat - didn't see them again for the entire 3 more years we lived there.

  You'll get there - and sometimes it can be quite amusing.
