Why the Ambivalence?

after reading bay64me's thread entitled "crisis of wardrobe!
", i fondly recalled shopping for those dowdy dresses, trying to find the perfect match between what i liked and what the society dictated for me to wear.

Perhaps its because to deny any good is being just as untrue to yourself as saying that it was the right religion when it wasn't. There's good & bad in everything. So, you have to retain the happy memories - that tells ya that your not off your rocker for believing the bad stuff.

On a side note, due to alot of sexual abuse I had suffered for a long time, praying for god to save me, I now kinda think that perhaps he did. If they had not df'd me - I'd probably still be there.

In todays terms its called "date rape", however the a**hole had the nerve to brag of his conquest to a friend. I truly thought that I had somehow caused it. So I was repentent. But I was df'd anyways, because I didn't tell the Elders, so they saw that as a sign of consent. I was only 15 when I got engaged, so I was pretty naive & guilable.

Just once at 16 - I was repentent & got df'd anyways for fornication with my fiancee - although it was unwilling fornication, they still considered me a willing participant since I hadn't come to them!

As far as I'm concerned - she got off easy. A real deterent would have been applying eye for an eye policy and do to her what she did to her victims! I don't care if she did find God - all people seem to in prison. She didn't have an abnormal childhood - she was just plain sick.

also, it is also a well documented fact, and although I don't have the evidence at work, that the Jews began gobbling up with money Arab properties around the turn of the century - they were not a majority prior at least in quite a few decades. After world war II, after the holocaust, the international community turned a blind eye to what the Jews then did in fact do to the Palestinian people. Most International countries did not want the Jews, they were refuges. So, they began a pilgrimage back to their "motherland", and in doing so committed as many grevious disgusting diabolical crimes against the Palestines, crimes that were photographed & well documented (however not largely publicized - to much Jew sympathy because of the holocaust).
They committed autrocities and drove the Palestinians from their homes. This is fact - documented fact. Isreal is not in the right on this. Maybe they are if you go all the way back to bible times to determine sovreignty.
Truth be told, Isreal has broken themselves all treaties they have made. They do this, against the UN and the global community at large. USA is the only country that dare stand behind them, even as they themselves violate treaty after treaty. They are supported with US dollars & military equipment.

While I wouldn't allow my child to watch movies of that nature either, I'm sure he's still seen alot of things that I wouldn't approve of, so you cannot necessarily blame the parents. The media should imho be more responsible for some of their programming choices.
Actually, strike that, its we as all citizens that should take the blame - but not the child. The theatres only put out what we want to see - nothing less, nothing more.
Children do dumb things, they are curious and naive. I have seen children in the neighborhood pulling stupid stunts. Because of violence in movies, video games & the like, I truly believe they are desensitized to some extent. That coupled with their natural feeling of invincibility, disaster is bound to happen to some.

Governing Body Workout Schedule
by Beans inin order for the governing body to have a clear conscience every morning they are required to participate in a regimented workout program so the body of the governing can direct the flock!
we sent in some undercover agents to bethel last week to document this insightful event and here is what they found.. first things first, "morning beverage at bethel" they skip the coffee!.
then the secretary gives some uplifting encouragement.
