I HATE it when people park in front of my garage and block me!!!

i live in an apartment complex where one can pay extra for a garage, not a car port, but a full blown garage with an automatic garage door opener.

i love having this garage, but sometimes people come along and park their car in front of my garage door and block me from being able to leave or return to my garage.

some asshole in an suv did it again tonight and prevented me from being able to park my car in my garage.

If they could go an alternative route or easily escape, How are they confined??

How can they "know that they are ( confined )" if they have an alternative route.

Someone who stands in the way or "blocks their path" isn't that what the driver did to Elsewhere?

If we are in a long line at a resturant and I am blocking the way of all those behind me, " blocked for only a moment" I am guilty??

Although I must say, I would not be surprised to find this on the ever politically correct california law books.

Yaa zev. That is one large vertical antena.

Get any gripes from neighbors re. their tv's ?

I still have my 10 meter ham and am going through the books to update on the tests.

I have a tuneable YESU transciever all solid state for all except the final drive and embedded liniar amplifier. They are using the old tube type system.

I use it only for reception and it has one hell of a receiver.

I suppose I could get the transmitter fixed and use it, but it would be costly.

Know any ways around that ?

This may differ in State to State but here in the US all the states that I know about, even an auto accident on private property, such as a parking lot at a store is out of the jurisdiction of the police.

The most they can do

is to write out a detailed description of location and damage that you can take to your insurance company.

If the accident also has a felony factor involved "running over your husband" they can and will get involved. Or negligent injury of a child, which is covered in law what ever the location may be, will be pursued.

To park "illegally" a misdemeanor, on public property will have laws on the books to use

Yeah I have seen this before.

A few years ago I owned a business that required a truck/van, the same truck you see Snap On tool sales men use when calling on mechanics.

I have a large door on my warehouse and a large sign with NO PARKING, violators will be towed.

I am driving up to it and this lady pulls in front of me and blocks my door and gets out.

I call to her from my truck and ask her to move and point out the sign.

SHE REFUSES!! I tell her the car will be towed and she starts telling me that she will never buy from me.

I tell her she never will because I won't sell to her. I sell only on the wholesale level.

So I park behind her car like you did only closer, no way out.

Go into my office and refuse to answer the banging on the door and leave the building.

About 30 minutes I get a call from the police. They beg me to back up my truck. This dork was driving them nuts. Private property no law broken by me and police have no jurisdiction regarding this type of thing on private property.

I wait another 30 minutes and saunter in and slowly back up and wave good bye to her. She is almost foaming at the mouth.

I loved every minute of it.

Does Anyone mind if I freak out?

ok, i have not had a lot of experience with death and the one loved one...really loved like a brother ...person that passed in 2002 was my first close, hurt your heart friend to go.

so this last year, maybe year and a half, i have worked with the same 14 to 16 people.

between all of us we have had at least twenty loved ones die, and one of our group that i sat next to for 4 years died.

You must feel like your world is crashing down around you. This thing of others dieing around us is a very stressing and depressing thing to handle.

Drop in now and again when you can and just let your feelings out, in writing here on the forum.

It might be a good idea to see your doctor and let him in on this. Ask for some medication if you think you need it.

Do you have/get any support from your friends/family/neighbors??

It is best to not just try to handle all of this alone.

Several years ago, not too far apart in time, there were several people in Washington state and in

California, that were convicted and imprisoned for child abuse.

It finally turned out that the cause was over zealous investigators that finally came up with so called evidence and convinced the courts to convict.

There was some genuine hysteria and a religious like fanaticism on the part of the police and the accusers.

They began to see child molesters everywhere.

There are enough genuine pedophiles and damaged children to keep the authorities busy. We don't need false arrests to confuse the problem.

we all know that the memorial is the single most important day in the jw year.

but why does it have to be observed on one specific day, nisan 14, and at one specific time, at sundown?

did jesus ever make a statement saying that these two requirements had to be kept no matter what?

I must say that while I do not see the need for a yearly attempt at acting out the words of jesus, regarding eating his flesh and drinking his blood, in a symbolic way by using wine and unleavened bread.

I do thank you for your use of language in a non arrogant and demanding way as the wbts and other religions sometime do.

I hope your beliefs and conduct in life bring you peace and contentment.

I will walk a different path and maybe God will approve of this.

Who remembers "Welcome to the Great Crowd" ?

i was baptized in 1986 at the tender age of 11 yoa, but i remember after sitting through that stupid talk (where i almost fell asleep, no kidding) and then prayer, then getting dunked, then they announced a welcome to all newly baptized people and said "welcome to the great crowd" .

it's so weird remembering that specifically.. now i think, welcome to the great dwindling crowd of duped people not going anywhere.

One time when I had started to drift away, in my own mind anyway, we went to a dist. assy.

One of my younger children felt a little sick. Aha I thought, this gives me an excuse to take the child back to the motel and I can lounge in the pool with a drink.

I took my child and went back to the motel and did just that.

After about 15/20 minutes an odd looking group started to take over the pool.

Then it dawned on me. Those damned jw's had gotten permission to use the pool for baptismal.

I vowed to myself that I would stay in that pool no matter what.

Ya know, after a few minutes the whole thing bothered me so much that I just had to walk away,

Not due to embarasment or respect, just couldn't stomach it.

Why doesn't the jw celebration, if it has the wine and unleavened bread "yuck", also have the roast

lamb and bitter herbs "yuck" ??. Isn't this what the original one had??

I'd go for just the roast lamb and a little wine, or a lot of wine, forget the herbs and taste less crackers.

apostate literature - i have read the lot.

you name it - c of c, gentile times reconsidered, thirty tears a watchtower slave, the orwellian world of jehovah's witness, apocalypse delayed, and the freeminds and watchtower observer sites, so on and so on.

and i have been reading the posts on this site regularly pretty much since it started, and hourglass before it.

Slimboy, if you are using the same thought processes and logic in your real life as you are using here on this forum, you are in deep trouble.

I am sure that you do not make decisions in real life using the same logic you display here.

So what is your agenda?
