  Quite the letter Vinny. Even though it is a long read, it is so interesting that I read it all.

  I would like to point out something about the wbts and the NGO relation to the United Nations.

  To be accepted as a member the wbts representative is required to sign a document of requirements.

  Among those requirements is that The wbts must have access to a large number of followers and use this to recommend and support the efforts and actions of the UN to those who read or follow the wbts publications and teachings.

  In other words they are to support and urge others to support what the wbts has for years called the

  Whore of Babylon.

  This hypocrisy about says it all about the wbts and its leaders.

  Ex-JW Friends - Learning Who They Really Are

  learning to find friends as an ex-jw.

  i wrote this essay because of what i have observed and experienced in the way of disappointment and reward in the relationships and freinds i have made online.

  i can relate to how you some x-jws feel about leaving online discussion boards.

  Friends?

  I have friends. I have one that I can hardly tolerate. He knows everything! Anything I do, he corrects me and says he knows better.

  He criticizes everyone and I am sure he criticizes me. The odd thing is that he is very gifted in many ways. He boldly told me that he does not have sex with his wife and said "ask her if you don't believe me" something I refused to do. This is why I call him numb nuts.

  The odd thing is that if I needed help, he would be the first person there. If he needed help I may not be the first there but I would be there. Through him I have met a few other guys and I find them to all be odd or different.

  The other day one of them told me that I was "different", damn I guess I fit right in.

  due to funkyderek i have come to the decision to leave this board.

  when i posted on the current gay thread in a way that i thought would stimulate thinking and lighten up the seriosness of the thread and have a laugh, he and others put me down publically labelling me.

  so i find it difficult now to continue posting knowing that someone has influenced others into thinking that i'm not worthy of being here because my phrasing and spelling is bad and that i'm apparently a "hyporite".

  Steve if you leave you are letting someone control you. In a sense being run off by a school bully.

  You are welcome here in this "school" by many many people.

  Don't let a bully have his/her way with you.

  Nothing bothers a bully more than being ignored.

  just head that my grandson has a bad kind of cancer.

  it's hard to accept stuff like this.

  i just hope they can do something to help him survive.. ken p..

  I am truly sorry Ken and it also brings tears to my eyes.

  I haven't lost any children or grand children but I just lost my wife to that god damn cancer.

  I think there are more medical options that the doctors can use for children than for older folks.

  You can rant rage and cry all you want here. You and your grand child will be in our minds and hearts.

  Best wishes to you and yours, be sure to give and get support to the family, you will need it.

  I wish there was something more I could do. If you think of something let me know.

  i think most of us were probably trained to believe that money can't buy happiness, but is that really true?

  i know i'd be a hell of a lot happier with more money....what about you?

  of course, there are the big examples we all know of---people who had lots of money, fame, but they weren't happy.

  There is one other thought I have and I don't think it was addressed.

  Correct me if it was, which I am sure will be done quickly.

  It was mentioned that " I contacted an attorney and was told that, there was nothing that could be done and a waste of time" Or something close to that.

  In a legal situation so newly brought out, one would have to contact several attorneys to find one who is truly up to date on current law and aware of the Calif. court cases.

  Give this issue time and let the heavy hitters toy with it. A few months down the road I think some new and useful changes may be in order, as these issues produce fruit.

  Well it has been a long time since I was an unhappy elder. But at that time, if anyone involved an attorney in their Judicial problems, the elders called WBTS legal desk and were told to drop it.

  However the back stabbing rumors and shunning would start anyway.

  But I must add that it might be interesting seeing the elders scramble and try to deal with this approach and who knows? It might turn into something similar to the Calif. court case recently decided.

  I am all for screwing with their heads and handing the shit they throw at us back to them.

  How soon, is too soon, to remarry after your spouse dies.

  has done so for years, and because of this, i know this elder a little too.

  not that we are close friends now, but when we were witnesses in the 1990's, we were friends with him and his wife.

  they had three children, all fully grown now, and had been married about thirty years.

  Actually for him it requires that amount of time needed to regain his mental and emotional abilities.

  The loss of ones wife,lover, friend is mentally destructive and it takes more or less time to heal and able to really assess the person and yourself as to if you are doing what is best for themselves and especially if there are young children involved.

  The same things are required for the ladies well being.

  I can see him in a life of desperation and trying to replace his wife. But she must be a crack pot.

  Unless she is in the same desperation.

  Good luck, they will need it.
