Hi flower. I personally think you have a pretty sound idea of what being a Christian 'realy' is. It would be more than impossible for us to understand every little detail in every bible written and re-written and de-coded and translated. Not gonna happen.
The one thing that is very clear in any bible you choose regarding Christianity is you must open up your heart to Jesus and thats what you've done then your already ahead of most people that 'call' them selves Chritstian by religion. IMO Christianity is not a religion.
Keep feeling good about yourself. plm.

I could be wrong and I hope this isn't taken wrong at all. I'm trying to put my JW thinking cap on its been awhile. Could it be that this man has been basicly a source of 'monitary' support, a security blanket in much the same way as a (don't laugh) 401K plan. She has no real personal or emotional interest in him any more then any of us would have with an investment or a employer or a neighbor etc. It isnt like she's planning on living the rest of her life with him and she probably doesn't expect to see him later in the 'New System' and he's to old to try and push her belief's down his neck. It wouldn't be to her advantage to get all worked up over this guy emotionally. On the other hand, You are her daughter and depending on exactly how she does feel about the blood issue, maybe that is something that still terrifys her. She has an emotional bond to you that would never exist with that guy. Would it have done any good if she tried to make his doctors not give him blood?
I'm trying to look at this if it were me in your situation. IMO your mom is still verymuch afraid of accepting blood and is therefore afraid for you.
Hope I express that well enough. I am not trying to call your mom a gold digger or anything like that at all. From how you explained it she's not doing anything imoral. It's not like shes sleeping with him for $$$ and she will probably leave it to you anyway.? plm -

Years ago I had a best friend who was from Cleveland. This could very well tag me but she moved back to Cleveland and we lost tough with each other. Don't know how long she attanded meetings when she moved back but she would be in her 40's now with a couple kids. Shae lived there all of her life except for about three years in California as a teen. Her name is Evona.

by plmkrzy ini understand that a lot believe that micheal and jesus are one in the same some believe that jehovah and jesus are one in the same some believe that one is the son of god yadda yadda yadda.. would some of you please address or post your reasons for believing that micheal the arc angel was not gods first creation and why he couldn't be the one sent to us to be born as a man and become our savyor?
why would he not have another name fitting his role as a man on earth?
he obviously wouldn't be living on earth as a child growing up as an angel.

Hi star. Mind if I add my 2 cents? Take your time. Jumping into something like that can cause enough emotions to flare up due to what will follow you may end up in REAL depression. Not to mention added stress on your relaitionship with your husband and your overall home life. It's a big step to take when a part of you will continue to be a part of what you are leaving.Meaning you will be oust and shunned by people your husband will be associating with on a regular basis. That can be a major strain for both of you. Try hanging out here for awhile longer and post more. Even if you don't think you have much to say say it anyway. Just keep communicating.

Have there been "mass DF'ings" lately?
by Bendrr inthe reason i ask this is because my brother came by my job today for some brake repairs.
for those of you who don't know, he was df'd a few months ago.. i was working while we talked and he was kind of vague.
but i mentioned his df'ing and from what he said a whole lot of his friends locally got df'd and reproved.

There were two df'd and a few reproved in the latest cong. I had been attending. I noticed a lot of talk about more and more every year seemed to be getting df'd. I don't know what the actual numbers are. Some one this month I think posted the numbers . Can't remember the topic of the thread.

[Actually, according to the bible "fornicators will not inherit God's kingdom", so yes, God will "turn is back on you" (unless of course, you repent, and back it up by works and not faith alone ).]
This is another example of why I choose not to reciet or quote scripture. I read the Bible always have and I get what I can out of it and read it again. If you get stuck on applying a particu;ar meaning with particular scriptures then you are condeming yourself to having no insight.
How does anyone know when Gods Kingdom will be completed. I doubt seriously it will happen in any of our lifetimes or our childrens or there childrens.
Ok so no fornicators will inherit Gods Kingdom. What EXACTLY does that mean? If you read the entire book or at least a few chapters before and after that verse with an open mind you could verywell find a new meaning with in it.
I think it simply means it will be part of the clensing process that the earth will go through and according to scripture that will take a thousand years. You can adjust the time frame anyway you like but how ever you adjust it, it isn't happening now.MO about the whole idea of what Christianity is or True Christianity is. I do not believe that there is a literial religion that can be called the "TRUE" Christian religion anywhere. I don't think that is something that is going to exist in our life time either. I think that will happen "In a perfect world" some where in the far future.
Right now "True Christianity is found in the indivual person by their works regardless of what they formally call themselves. IMO
