Even coming out of the Dark ages, the centuries that came after up intil the 20th Century have been brutal to say the least. the whole "before 1914 the world was so much better" BS is just another WT scam to justify their BS 1914 last days false prophecy. Its a Lie and anyone with even 2 brain cells can see that with a little reading. Some people will just believe anything because the WT said so and yah know, God talks through these clowns. Why doesn't the WT close the religion?
by Aussie Oz ini was pondering the other day, why the watchtower corporation doesn't just sell off all the kingdom halls and hang the jws out to dry seeing they make far more $$$ from business than peddling the religion these days.. then it dawned on me... they need to keep that little sideline going for the tax breaks!.

As Long as they continue to bring in the Cash Flow... they'll never close. Its Business 101. They make enormous amounts of money in their Building/realestate endeavors. Think about it. They sucker in a bunch of members to cough up as much as they can toward the purchase of a property (in a few cases the land is donated), have more sucker's build it for free, and have the original suckers pay for the rest by way of getting a mortgage (through the WT mind you) . Afther 20 years and the KH/AH is paid for.... its probably appreciated very much and is paid for and belongs to the WTS. ALL TAX FREE! Now thats a GREAT Business! And they won't give that up anytime soon. They've got a lot of gullible people in many other Countrie with emerging economies that are still dumb enough to fall for their scam.

and with her 85 million usd wealth , i'm guessing that that part time janitor or window washing job might no longer be necessary..

I have a brother (now out) and 2 sister's (Ubber Spiritual Pioneer Types) who are very socially disfunctional. My brother has no friends at all and suffers from Depression and Panic attacks. BoL, the only people in my area who getting suckered in (besides the kids of JW's) are some immigrants... usually the ones from poor ass countries. The general public is too aware of things these days and can smell a Rat from a mile away. I've seen some weirdo's and single mom's and stuff falling for it.. but thats it. I would say the rate is 2 to 1 in favour of more people leaving.

Iran vs Israel and the USA = WW III (Should we be worried?)
by Me Myself and I inthis particular bowl of soup has been bubbling for some time now, with various posturing and toing and froing.
looking at the media and the subsequent comments from israel regarding iran, it looks clear that something is going to happen soon, very soon..... with iran having the ears of both china and russia, israel having the us and of course we (uk) as the states poodle on the other side.
i wonder if this could be the beginning of the end?.

We should be worried, but not as worried if Iran had nukes. Muk-Mud Ima-nut-job is just one of many Leaders in a country that still stones women for .. basically anything and is very corrupt. And all this talk about Iran not being able to be contained in terms of their retaliation methods is not true. They will ofcourse lob missle's in Isreal, cause instability in coutries such as Iraq, afganistan, etc, ramp up terrorist attacks, try to close the strait of Hormus, and basically create as much trouble as possible. But Isreal is not stupid or weak. Isreal, US and some Western countries will give Iran a lesson they sorely need. Ofcourse there will be casualties on both sides, but Irans army and Nuclear bases will be annialated by the west. Sometimes war is neccesary and we cannot prevent our side from having some deaths... Its a WAR! We cannot fear a bully. China will not protect Iran for the fact that the US most likely has already made a deal with them regarding Irans oil. Thats all China and Russia care about.. they do NOT want to see a nuclear Iran either! Once it gets started, the US should also consider knocking out their Leadership and Install a more pro-western democratic goverment. No one wants war but in the long run, the world and ESPECIALY the Iranian citizen's will eventually be better off and be able to develop into a more tolerant society. It won't be easy, but it must be done.
