The quotes above are important to be aware of. That the WT would happily execute their "apostates" , were it not for the laws of the land preventing them from doing so. They treat disfellowshipment as though they were imposing the death penalty, and they revel in it. Simply changing the term to "removal" means nothing. They are the same cold-hearted and evil bastards.

The arrogance of the "True Believer"
by Norm inboth political and religious true believers often distinguish themselves by their limitless arrogance towards people who dare hold different opinions from them.
every thing has to be done on their terms; people who think differently cant expect to have the same rights as those who consider themselves true believers.
in this way a elite is created a kind of spiritual master race.

blondie: "Yes, the WTS prices these out to non-jw lawyers, the WTS wants to win especially wants people who will see the "legal" aspects, not the moral, ethical, or spiritual side of things. WTS = Pharisees"
They need outsiders who are not informed by years of indoctrination to see how the WT will be perceived by other outsiders. Their closed information loop has come back to bite them, essentially.

Another blow by the WT. If I ever had a financial windfall, I planned to go there and photograph the WT pyramid. Killjoy WT has robbed me of that potential chance to rub their noses in it. 😢🙄

Notice the none too subtle way in which it is implied that R&F should sacrifice themselves to protect the GB. In light of the September (2024) WT article about being doers of the word, where that means supporting Jesus' brothers (the GB), I find this interesting.
In mainstream Christianity, doing things for the least of Jesus' brethren means giving meals to grieving fellow Christians, or visiting them in hospital, etc, etc. In the scripture twisted bizarro world of the WT, it means jumping between a possible mob hitman and a member of the GB*.
Is it just me, or is there just a smidgeon** of arrogance about the GB?
* Privilege has its perks.
** Two possible ways of spelling this.

Would Watchtower Actually Murder Members Who Question the F&DS If They Could?
by Sea Breeze inimagine if the watchtower had their own country where they could do what they wanted.
do you think they would actually kill people who disagreed with them?

Reddit thread re Oct 2024 WT with picture of window washer - Theme knocking people who Planned
by LongHairGal inthis thread currently has over 300 comments.. it shows a picture of an older man washing a window looking wistfully… then it talks all about how some may have doubts about not having planned and the situation they are in now that they are older, etc.
it refers to others who did plan and who supposedly have ‘apparent’ financial security.
in my opinion, the whole gist of this article is to make older witnesses feel better who did not pursue a career or plan well for retirement.. it tries to imply that those others who planned only have ‘apparent’ financial security - which is to say they don’t (?).

I seem to remember WT articles where they begrudge the fact that the laws of the superior authorities mean that they can't deal with apostates in the old testament way. Not sure how to search for them, though.
It was phrased very loosely and, reading it, you felt that would love to have the power of execution.

What would happen if the religion just straight out gets outed as bad? The ORG admits to it and all the members get told to disperse
by Starlight.vee inlike the org just gives up and comes out saying that all of what they are saying is untrue and that there is no armageddon, nothing.
how do y’all think the the members still in it would react?.
there be a mental health crisis i perhaps.

Do they really all want to suddenly disappear from the public eye and the adoration of JWs? I can't see those egos leaving without a lot of kicking and screaming. As Vidiot points out, the handling of Tony Morris' disappearance is impressive. But can it happen again without the objection of the current GB?
Of course, this could be some kind of 4d chess game being played by the legal department without the GB fully realising what's going on.
