  the actual article doesnt say there are billions of planets with life, it seems to imply there are billions that have the right conditions to possibly support life. theres a big difference, earth HAS life the others COULD have life.

  The Great Watchtower Internet Retreat

  there has been a lot of talk about the new watchtower internet strategy.

  it appears that the watchtower is trying to improve their internet presence.

  this could be true, but i think there are good reasons to think that the opposite might be the case.. i suspect that this new internet announcement was primarily designed to draw attention away from the announcement that they are cutting down on the printing of the magazines again.. they are basically dropping two of their websites and redesigning a website on a url that has the lowest rating of the three.

  your 100% right, thry are screwed it would be an interexting bet if they get even a single believer from any internet portal. they wont tell the truth but the true figures would be very interesting.

  has any religion gained a single member via web presence ?

  im going to guess they start using a new name and drop the witness bit. the current name has no friends and is a liability plus it is linked too a large array of negative information. they need to distanve themselves from all that unfortunate history.

  and that is half the problem, climate change beliebers tell you man and carbon cause temp increases but they only ever tell us about ice melting and so on. they never explain cause and affect nor do they dispute why this time its man while other increases even just two hundred years ago were not. they are never consistent.

  Was Last Supper a Passover meal ?

  according to russell in zions watchtower of march 1896 he wanted his little church in allegeheny to celebrate the last supper on nisan14 becuase jesus instituted it then, some time after 6pm, by 3pm the next afternoon, still nisan14 he was dead.. at 6pm three hours later nisan15 began, passover began, and the jews would eat the lamb and bitter herbs, when the sun was down... so russells view was that jesus did not celebrate passover, being dead, on preperation day.. thus jesus died at the time the lambs were being slaughtered in jerusalem.. if i am correct the wt's latest explanation on this is not quite as clear as russells.

  they seem to infer the last supper was a seder, a passover celebration, and that the slaughter of the lamb ,eating of the lamb, and jesus death all took place on nisan 14, have i got that right, or as usual is phizzy in a mucking fuddle ?

  the man carrying water is aquarius, jesus is talking about waiting for the new age of aquarius. moses and the gold calf represent the change from taurus--bulls to the new age ofaries--rams. most if not all the jesus story and the historical stories that cannot be fpund on earth can be found in the zodiac. ive always wondered if the gb made a big deal about the end of times because they understood aqu4rius was coming. the problem is they were in a pickle and couldnt admit it was all astrology.

  and things are within a week or two of being d.a.ed/d.f.ed, and my jw best friend sent me an email to check how i was doing.

  i was fairly sure that he was very much on the edge of leaving to, or at least that he didn't believe it for a long time.

  so i sent him an email in reply and told him basically everything i believed and the reasons i knew jws are not the true religion, and i also told him i was leaving.

  your comments about buddhism being peaceful arenot quite true. before the chinese came to tibet, the lamas were exploiting the locals just as ruthlessly and violently as other clergy systems. im not saying i condone the chinese occupation but lets be honest, most if not all clergy are evil lying barstards who steal from gullable locals by way of persuasion or force

  just because the daili lama appears peaceful today doesnt mean the tradition or history was so. today the pope is just an old man in a small country with a few fancy dressed guards. in the past he ordered and authorized many to their death.

  lets not forget the japanese culture is also buddhist, and they were equal if not worse than the nazis in china and korea. even today those countries do not forget the millions of dead and pain of the japanese army.

  i hate as scientology as much as the next guy, however the scale of violence their minders and related members do is not a war or'even close to one. scientology has never started a crusade like war expedition to anywhere. theres a big difference between war and the actions of bnoth jw shunning or'sciemtology blackmailing. war is itself illegal, shunning and other tactics'exhibhited by both religions unfortunely while reprehensible is not bloody or murder.
