I missed it, so I was wondering how I can get ahold of a video. Does anyone who taped it plan on recording it in .avi format for download?
Or did they air a 1-800 number to call to order a video? I couldn't find any way to do this from their website so any help would be appreciated.

LETTERS TO BOE/DON"T WATCH DATELINE?

has anyone seen or heard of any letters going out from headquarters to the body of elders directing them to inform the congregations not to watch dateline?

i was wondering if this is really true or just a rumor.

if it is true, this is terrible that they can actually deny members freedom of press or punishment.

Its not the WTS's way to simply say "Don't watch Dateline this week."

Rather they'd draft some big elaborate special talk on "Guarding against Satan and how he manipulates the media" or some such thing. And then the rank & file witnesses would deduce this subtle message, and avoid watching Dateline.

However if the society said straight up "Don't watch Dateline" most witnesses would obey. 'Cause in a household, your spouse wouldn't allow you to watch it or vice versa. Nor let your children watch it. And if you were to watch it, you wouldn't be allowed to talk about it to anyone anyways.

i'm heading down a path i think alot of you have gone down... and i'm certainly not looking for any sympathy here.

i've read some experiences here and at other sites that shows me that alot of folks have gone through alot worse than i am.... basically, a year ago i left brooklyn bethel after a five year stint.

already sick of structured man-worship, i struggled for while to pretend, but my heart wasn't in it.

i read a post that a jw can have whole blood transfused if it was a life or death issue.. advance heart & vascular specialists.

I'd do as much research as you can and really practice your arugments in your head before you have to engage your family or JW friends in debate to adequately defend yourself.

You can never really win a debate with a JW, but you can certainly make some good points and a stand firm which will make it seem as though you've actually thought this through thoroughly and didn't just get "ensnared into the world" or be "influenced by Satan."

After that, its only a matter of how tolerant they are towards you. Religious intolerance has repeatedly been the cause of most of the wars that have taken place in the earth's history. And although JW's don't participate in physical war, they certainly can devestate on the battlefields of psychological war, which can be just as bad, if not worse.

Those are the things I did, and I felt sure and confident in myself and it showed.

Also, I'd suggest submitting a letter of disassociation. That way at least you make it your decision and not theirs.

Evolution Theory about Rainbows is.....

once again stupid.. i read this book today about how evolution works, blah, blah... once again evolution shows it's ignorance and it got started by foolish humans who knoweth nothing at all... .

they say rainbows only come out when and after it rains.. bs, cause just month i seen 2 rainbows together in the sky, in the afternoon, and it did not rain at all, infact it was'nt suppose to rain anyway... the facts: rainbows are from yahweh, but since christ is king right now, he brings out the rainbows, cause it's love and it's a sign of righteous.... so evolution can kiss my ass.. .

btw y"all i was praying to jehovah god & jesus christ today, that i hope one day before armageddon, can you bring out some rainbows at night.. that would be cool, can y'all picture that?

It doesn't neccessarily have to precipitate for a rainbow to form. I've seen rainbows in my front lawn when the sprinklers are on. Is that Christ himself sending the righteous one's a sign? Reality check, yo.
