Have you ever had an encounter with a UFO?
by free2beme inwhen i was about 16 years old, a group of us friends would go hiking a lot on the weekend.
we would rough it to some degree, just a sleeping back and sleeping under the stars.
one night, while hiking into a lake in northern california, we all were sleeping in a clearing just out of legal distance from a small mountain lake we liked to fish in.

Three hundred years ago no one would have thought that you could generate electricity by spinning a coil of wires in between a couple of magnets. But our whole way of life has been transformed because of this.
It may be that travel to other dimensions/parallel worlds doesn't require anything more complicated than the technology that produced MRI machines or Super Computers or perhaps a particle accelerator. We just have to stumble accross one simple idea. The random aspect of discovery is the only obstacle to rapid scientifice advancement.
It could be that some Jar-Jars accidentally figured out how to travel between dimensions and suddenly you have some stupid beings popping up here and there. Or maybe there are teenagers or interdimenional Harley riders out for a joy ride.

Bump!!!
In one week some on this board will be at the book study considering the topic "Identifying Babylon the Great"
In case some haven't seen this page I brought it up for air.
Keep in mind two scriptures for the book study Isaiah 23:17 and Nahum 2:4
You might even ask the book study conductor how it is possible for Ninevah and Tyre, both political entities, to commit prostitution with all the kingdoms of the earth when they say Babylon the Great CAN't be a political entity because it commits prostitution with the kings of the earth.
If there is a slim chance that any Watchtower writers are reading this think about how you are deceiving people. You know you have no answer to this.

JW Murder Fetish - More LIES!!!
by LeahJasmine inok, so i misinterpreted this author's other article, but this one really does go way beyond.
it's "jehovah witness murder fetish (a psychological model)".
i don't think there's anyway that i am misunderstanding this one - he's saying that the watchtower is to blame!.

I would still like to know who really killed Ananias and Sapphira.
If this were to happen today there would be an investigation.
It sounds like murder to me. Couldn't the early Christians just DF them for lying?
Nooooooooooo. They killed them and claimed it was God that did it.
The problem is with "devout believers" in any faith.

What if aliens are the reason we are here, and why the bible is?
by free2beme inokay, i have a very imaginative mind.
i have always loved the series star trek, until it went belly up in over kill.
i always loved the thoughts it brought up, with what would happen if an alien species encountered a less advance or primitive species.

Flipping around through parallel universes seems more likely than traveling long distances through space.
Angels are material beings with advanced cloaking techniques.
The Bible is a capsule of vital information for mankinds survival through a serious crisis that will bring civilization to its senses.
It had to be writen as a religious book so that it would be copied. Most of it is nonsense but the sections about surviving the great tribulation are critical.

JW Reform, It will NEVER happen...
by AuldSoul ini have read several posts by posters who fervently hope jws will become a mainstream religion, or will become "the truth," or will stop teaching this doctrine, or tweak that one, and "oh, if they would only [fill in the blank].".
such dreaming will, in the end, come to naught.
there are practical reasons why.. (1) the rank and file have no authority over the governing body.. (2) the rank and file do not hold sway over any of the corporate interests.. (3) the vast majority of memorial partakers are not credible in the eyes of the governing body, nor do they have any authority over anything.. (4) the organization shows a willingness to publicly claim beliefs to which jehovah's witnesses do not actually subscribe in order to improve public image (see lisa's interview with j.r. brown), while retaining the same hard-line beliefs in reality.. (5) the governing body is unwilling to relinquish control over the organization, to share authority with underlings (e.g.

If they give up the "end is soon" idea they have no reason to exist. Although, originally Adventists they have branched far from the Seventh Day Adventists.
They could become a publishing house for several different groups so that their investement wouldn't be a loss. Hell, they could just specialize in printing for all denominations.
They could hold Bible parties where people would buy inspirational videos, Bibles, and study guides. The service meeting could become a good old fashioned sales meeting.
All representatives would have to be be strong moral leaders so that people would trust them as distributors of fine Christian publications. They would carry a complete line of games and educational packets that would encourage building strong character along with family values.
Readers digest..... move over.

Early Christians were an end-time religion. It only worked for them for about 4 generations (30 x 4) or 120 years. Once you get to 4 generations you kind of lose your sense of urgency. Either something happens "soooooon" that vindicates them or they will disolve. They won't become mainstream. They won't reform. After 2014 they will all just fade.

Anyone ever watch David Blaine?
by AK - Jeff inthe magician?
he is unbelievable - i don't see how it can be smoke and mirrors out on the street.
some of it seems impossible unless it is staged.

Do some searching on google. He does stage his videotaped tricks. First time I saw him on TV I thought there are demons for sure. All of his tricks are just tricks.
I was surprised when he went to Hati and did magic in front of juju priests. They were frightened at the simplest tricks. Which tells me they don't have demons helping them either. Voodoo is really just a bunch of pot smoking, mushroom chewing etc.
